Japan 2009 is Cancelled.

Boo Hoo !! :(

The Lashpair cannot go to Japan next year, so the Japan trip has been Cancelled.

Repeat the Japan trip has been Cancelled.

Look for more info in THIS thread

Gemini Cricket 06-10-2008 06:35 PM

Oy!
:(

Cadaverous Pallor 06-10-2008 06:47 PM

Ok, everyone go read the other thread. :p

innerSpaceman 06-10-2008 07:21 PM

No, I came to this thread from the other thread for info.

Where is the info???

I gotta admit that, just lately, I've been admitting to myself that I cannot afford the Japan trip. My prime reason for going has always been to revisit with the LashPair, but I've also always wanted to see Japan.

Them coming here instead is a boon to my entire soul. But why was Japan cancelled (I ask with almost a sigh of relief)?

Chernabog 06-10-2008 07:28 PM

My next major trip will still be Japan, come hell or high water, but I couldn't make it in April 2009 anyway.... but now I get to see the LP in 2009 so life is happy!

Easy - We couldn't afford it either !!

innerSpaceman 06-10-2008 08:50 PM

So you're taking advantage of our plunging dollar?

Ok, that's fair.

Does it have to be April???

Ghoulish Delight 06-10-2008 09:03 PM

Japan is canceled? Where will all of those Japanese residents go? Who's going to fill their timeslot? Another Asian country, or will they change formats to go after a more European market? Is there going to be a spinoff? Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda's Place?

Not Afraid 06-10-2008 09:10 PM

I suppose the good news is that I don't have to figure out what I'm going to do with Thurston when I go to Japan. It is so much easier to just throw him in the car as we stalk the LashPair up and down the West Coast.

blueerica 06-10-2008 09:16 PM

Noes!

Well, I still may be going. Or maybe I'll go somewhere else. I need to leave the country. Yeah.

innerSpaceman 06-10-2008 10:13 PM

I'm so disappointed and relieved on so many almost conflicting levels.

:(

lashbear 06-10-2008 10:37 PM

well, if it's relief you're after....

We'll have to catch you somewhere on your Grand West Coast Tour! I'm sure everyone will have lots of great ideas of things to see. Then you'll have even more choices to make.

Snowflake 06-11-2008 08:31 AM

Boo Hoo, but I'm relieved. I knew I could not afford it. :(

So glad you're coming to visit in 2009. Any stops in the SF Bay this trip?

Me too.

Ghoulish Delight 06-11-2008 09:38 AM

If this means Japan is happening in 2010, we might be able to do it, with the obvious caveat that sh*t can change in 2 years.

blueerica 06-11-2008 09:59 AM

I could do that, too...

NirvanaMan 06-11-2008 10:49 AM

Damn I was planning on this happening and very much looking forward to it. Of course this does offer up a world of alternative destinations.

blueerica 06-11-2008 11:10 AM

Indeed, it does.

We must keep one another informed. I have lots of ideas on where I'd like to go. Ooh... now my mind is wandering... Not good for a slow day at work!

Damn... I REALLY want to give you mojo for this post!!!

Not Afraid 06-11-2008 07:06 PM

You know, we went to Japan a couple of year ago with just 4 of us and had a wonderful time. Not that anyone would want to do something like that.

innerSpaceman 06-11-2008 07:18 PM

I would. It's just that I was justifying the expense as a LashPair visit. Kind of like it being tax deductible, but now it's not.
