Santa Barbara does have a small municipal airport, but I don't know what they have in terms of puddle jumper flights.

The closest "major" airport would be Burbank, with LAX in a close second

LAX cheaper, probably. And not too terribly much more of a drive.

It only took us 1.5 hours to get there from Hollywood two weeks ago.

Oxnard also has some connecting flights, especially on United and... there's one more but I can't remember it. Their hub is in Arizona. Oxnard is about an hour's drive, maybe a bit more but not too bad.
