A Behind the Scenes Look at the Indiana Jones Adventure

If you go to this site and click on the watch video link, you'll see a behind the scenes tour of the Indiana Jones attraction.
What's awesome is that they show you how the finale boulder scene works.
:)

Don't look if you don't wanna know.

Not sure if anyone else has posted this already...

I was actually walked off Indy when the ride went 101. We were stuck in the boulder room and when all the work lights came on, I was able o observe how they do it.

Spoiler:
I don't know if the video shows it, but the boulder never stops spinning.

Kevy Baby 06-27-2008 12:55 AM

So where are parts 2-5?

lashbear 06-27-2008 01:44 AM

IF anyone is able to capture this video, could they let me know ? Ta.

NickO'Time 06-27-2008 08:11 AM

Thanks GC! I have an animated gif somewhere of the Boulder effect.
So cool too see the rest.

ToriBear 06-27-2008 08:42 AM

Wow, that looked so cool! It's so awesome they show how everything there works.

BarTopDancer 06-27-2008 09:03 AM

Cool!

I knew about the ending, but it's a trip to see it without a car on the track.

Does anyone have a picture of Eeyore on "Bones"? My friend doesn't believe me that it's there and I've never remember to take a picture.

Yup, sucked it up with the help of the awesome Firefox plugin DownloadHelper. (Very handy for saving YouTube videos, BTW!)

This is the URL for the pop-up page with the video on it. I'd grab it quickly cause who knows how long it will be up.

DownloadHelper will save the stream as an flv file. You'll probably need to get a player for that file format. I use FLV Player. It's a pretty bare-bones player, but it's free and gets the job done.

The jeeps on the Indiana Jones ride rest on the back of turtles? I never would have thought!

No: they rest on four elephants who stand on the great turtle A'Tuin.

Disneyphile 06-27-2008 11:41 AM

Damn, I'd kill to be the photog for those reports! *drool*

Gonna have to download them when I get home. DownloadHelper (which I love and had with Firefox 2) doesn't work in Firefox 3 and I can't even view the videos. I have to use IE.

Another strike against Firefox 3.

I have Firefox 3 and it works for me.
And I don't know how to do anything!

Ah, the same thing is happening.

I use gettubevideo application to capture videos, but because there is an annoying ad before the main story, the application only captures the ad (how cunning of them)

You don't have the FLV available to send, do you ? :D

It turns out it was Adblock Plus preventing it from showing. I turned that off and now it plays just fine in Firefox.

If you use DownloadHelper and just let the ad play, after the ad is over you can download it.

I'm downloading right now. I'd be happy to upload them somewhere for you if you have any suggestions.

Pirate Bill 06-27-2008 08:29 PM

Ok, I've got the videos being hosted on my personal home server. I don't want webspiders or lurkers to find them. So if you want them, PM me and I'll give you the link.

I have FLV and AVI versions.

I too am successfully using DownloadHelper with Firefox 3. Do you have the most recent version?

After installing Firefox 3 it disabled DownloadHelper and didn't offer an update. I didn't bother to manually go look for one. I'll have to check when I'm back in the office on Monday.

BTW: Now using Firefox 3 with Downloadhelper and I'm Loving It. :D

Pirate Bill 06-30-2008 08:52 AM

When I checked my extensions in Firefox 3 this morning, DownloadHelper was activated and working. Weird.
