My infant daughter doesn't look enough like a whore, what can I do?

Why, put these on her, of course!

tracilicious 06-28-2008 01:09 PM

I can't find it online, but SNL did a hilarious baby thong commercial that would be perfect with those shoes.

JWBear 06-28-2008 02:49 PM

Oh good God! Will someone please sterilize these people!

Here ya go. Life imitates art.

Deebs 06-28-2008 03:37 PM

Oh good heavens.

I only see the one image of a baby actually wearing them, all the rest are pictures of the shoes in the gifty handbag packaging.

But just thinking about sweet pudgy baby legs, shoved into those high heels is freakish and disturbing.

I did see that SNL episode with the thong diapers when it aired. Yes, I usually still watch SNL. And almost every week I ask myself why. Andy Samberg is cute? Is that a good enough reason?

Alex 06-28-2008 10:19 PM

High heels make you look like a whore?

ToriBear 06-28-2008 10:42 PM

P-pink heels!? Those are my worst nightmare!

Perhaps not like a whore, but I would look rather silly......

I once saw a TV-forum style show where Mothers (note: no Fathers) were defending the whole beauty pageant culture that seems to have taken an incredibly strong foothold in the USA. They even had toddler boys doing the bump and grind a la Chippendales.

IMO (nsfw & Pageant Mothers - do not read) ...

Spoiler:

It was really disturbing on so many levels...the Mothers dress like absolute uber-whores; you can see them living their ambitions through these kids.

The kiddy-porn pedophilia crowd must think it a freakin' smorgasbord. Few things in life disgust me to the core...but this part of American culture is beyond the pale.

...and then there was Jonbenet - and even that didn't drive the message home.

Couldn't these bored middle-American housewives just buy a fvcking cabbage patch doll and knock 'emselves out with the whole makeup and clothing rig??? Hell, they could even have sex with them and nobody would care.

Love and hugs,

The Stoat XXX.

I remember after the ToJo's meet a few years back when we were leaving the restaurant and Darkbeer started (very obviously) to distract Tori when we passed the new LibbyLu. I asked him what he was up to and he said he didn't want her to be sucked in by the 'Prostitot' place. Later, when we saw the tarted up little Jonbenet's on their daily parade I was very grateful. Kids don't realize what that shyt's about- they just see the glitter and pretty bling and think it's fun. She still remembers that, and I think his attitude toward the place helped to lessen the allure, as she never seemed interested on subsequent trips. Later, when she was in dance, I saw the same sort of weirdness, but luckily she was in Hip/Hop and they just got to wear cool clothes.:D

LashStoat 06-29-2008 12:36 AM

Dear WendyBeth,

Thanks for raising our ToriBear...to be as normal as a LoTter can be, and thank God she knows not to wear P-pink high heel shoes.

Love and hugs,

The Stoat XXX.

I have a confession, Lashstoat- she did have a pair when she was four. It came in an innocuous looking Princess Trunk that contained a variety of pinky-bling Princess items, but luckily she has her mother's graceful athletic abilities and she couldn't go more than a meter on them. In her defense, they did have pretty purple feathers on them- I understand the initial attraction, but her La Gasse genes kicked in and when she realized they were uncomfortable she kicked them to the curb. I hope she continues to exhibit this attitude in life, particularly when she starts dating .

Now I know what to buy for Taylor for her birthday ;)

alphabassettgrrl 06-29-2008 05:20 PM

I don't remember the link but there's a website where they'll edit your child's baby pictures into glamor-shots. It was pretty frightening. But it'd go well with the heels. :)

Kevy Baby 06-29-2008 05:29 PM

I couldn't find any software, but I did find this:

alphabassettgrrl 06-29-2008 08:41 PM

Found a couple.
http://www.kelsphotocreations.com/
http://pageantphotoretouching.homestead.com/index.html

Some are more than a little creepy. They started out as normal children...

BarTopDancer 06-29-2008 09:14 PM

In the 2nd link the Wizard of Oz is actually cute.

Those kids don't need photo-shopping done :( The only truly disturbing one that I noticed on the main page was the bathing suit one.

alphabassettgrrl 06-29-2008 09:45 PM

Exactly- the kids look normal until they start messing with 'em. I didn't really care for the bathing suit one. I'm not fond of anything to do with pageants. It's the little ones I worry about. There's one that is a pic of a teen girl; that's ok, as she's old enough to make her own decisions and all.

LashStoat 06-30-2008 01:15 AM

They remind me of The Stepford Wives - or in this case, The Stepford Babies.

Truly gross.

Agreed.

Besides the bathing suit one and that freaky one they aren't terrible. There's no reason to make children into sex objects through poses or photo shop.

Photo shopping in the backgrounds is pretty cute - that just seems like the next step up from the screen backgrounds used in days gone by.

alphabassettgrrl 06-30-2008 09:29 AM

Photoshopping a background is ok. Changing out a child's eyes and mouth and hair so she looks like a doll? Not so much.

Gemini Cricket 06-30-2008 09:32 AM

These babies make Jon Benet look like she was already washed up before she was offed.

JWBear 06-30-2008 09:54 AM

These people are sick.
