Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade 2008

Ken and I are finally attending the LoJ Masquerade for the very first time this weekend.

I'll post pictures of the event after then, but in the meantime, here are some work-in-progress of the costumes as I complete each piece. :)

Our costumes are Victorian-themed. Mine will include a corset, skirt, coat, mask, and hat. Ken's will include pants, coat, mask and gun-blade accessory.

Here is my hat that I completed last night, which is constructed around a Build-a-Bear top hat. It will be perched to the front left side of my head that evening:

Some of the detail:

The back of the hat - there's a long flowing organza bow:

Wow that is gorgeous! I've long wanted to do a Victorian-inspired costume...

We didn't even think we were going, but then a friend bought 4 tickets back in March and told us that we are going. ;)

It's been on my desired outing list for the last 5-6 years, and something's always come up.

Oh, and thanks for the kind comments so far. I love finding my creativity again.

Anyway, the hat took about an hour while I was watching TV with my honey. :)

Wow, that is so awesome!

You are so multi-talented, Ms. Disneyphile. It's absolutely amazing.

Pictures please, of the finished costumes on the wearers of the beauty.

I can't wait to see the entire ensemble! I love the hat.

That hat is muy Victorian swanky, my dear. Really, really cool.

Here's a photo of us that evening:

Ken ended up making his own mask, because the corset leather was giving me all kinds of problems, causing a huge delay.

I'll have detail photos of the rest of the costume components soon. :)

No but Doomie was one of the originals - Noah is Batsday

Not Afraid 07-21-2008 09:29 PM

Doomie and Noah had a falling out. Therefore drunkrockers.com
