Sleeping Beauty at El Cap
Seems the "digitally restored" version of Sleeping Beauty will be at El Capitan stating August 29 - Sept 18 with an August 28th special panel discussion. Got the flyer today while at El Cap.

Oh, i'm gonna be a sucker for this.
But I went to the last "restored" version of Sleeping Beauty at the El Cap, and it didn't look so hot. I know this one is supposed to be excellent, but fool me once and all that. Eh, who am I kidding? .... I'm all over this. Pick a date. Oh, and speaking of dates and this .... that last Sleeping Beauty at the El Cap was zapppop's and my first date. If he comes with ... well ... as long as they don't play Toot Whistle Plunk and Boom, we should be ok. ;) |

I saw Sleeping Beauty at the El Cap about 5 years ago with Chris, Lisa & Techie7. We had a blast. Ollie Johnston was there :(. Along with Mary Costa, Alice Davis & Kathryn Beaumont ( I followed her the bathroom!)
My B-day is next month, I may have to head south....... If everyone picks Saturday, I'm in for sure!! |

As a very young child I must say that one of my Top 5 Disney movies was Sleeping Beauty. I think it was either the music or the thought of having three magical fairies as my guardians was pretty nifty (probably both)! I used to watch it over and over when I was 4 because Mama had taped it for me on The Disney Channel. I can only imagine how magical it would be to see it at the El Cap. I've never been there of course but I digress. If you have the chance to go see it, please do. I hope all that do go have a wonderful time! :)

oh, the hesitation hits me. There's some seats in the 2nd row available. But $25 for a movie I've seen a million times, and will be buying on bluray, even though I don't know when I'll be able to watch it (don't have a player).
$25 for sitting by my lonesome is kinda steep for me right now. Besides, I don't want to bug some stranger when I try to hit Aurora's high notes. oh, not a sing-a-long this time? |
