I used to wait up for this one to appear on MTV........almost 3 years after I first heard the song!

Too weird (and get out of my brain). I've been singing this song ALL DAY LONG! (And remembering how long it took us to figure out the lyrice in the day before the internet).

Life was so much harder then. We even had to get up to change channels and stand my the phone to talk on it.

Boy Siouxsie was my fashion hero, but even back then the lyrics often made me cringe:

Don't have time to watch them all but OMG...I remember this one! I seriously remember feeling confused and kind of frightened by this video...yet couldn't tear my eyes away. Hooray, unsupervised TV! :D

ETA -- so this is not just another blind YT post, I'll touch on WHY: the driving bass line. I've always been a sucker for that. I remember the first time I heard Shriekback... I swear my body did a swirly, sparkly, squeeeee ...way back before we knew such words. Hmmm...must now search for Shriekback. Ahhhhhhhhh. :-) Note: not really a video, just the amazing SONG. I should also add that Shriekback is the only band that ever got me dancing on a table-top. *proud* They are also the only band that would dare name a song "My Hubris." :D

And Urgh makes me remember Klaus Nomi. This song makes me happy and sad at the same time.

I was always a fan of MJ's Smooth Criminal video. Although when playing the full length version (with about 1-1/2 minutes of no music as the bridge) was kinda tricky at the club. I had to mix in the dub version using vinyl (remember vinyl?) during the dead-time (starting around the 5:26 mark) and then do a slam-mix coming out.

Also, Janet Jackson's Miss You Much video with the chair dance at the end (at the 4:20 mark).

By far, my favorite Janet song and video. I often call this one my theme song. Someone I was dating once said, "Hey, this is our song!" And I said, "Uh uh, honey, this is my song."

The difference between Michael and Janet? Michael grabs his own package, Janet grabs other guys' packages.

Bwahahaha! All these years later, I'm now the mom's age with a daughter about Janet's age in the video. Guess who I sympathize with.

My Dad, for an unknown reason, used to tape random videos on MTV. I've got all the tapes to watch when I get nostalgic. Plus he was crap at taping so you get some VJ's and commercials as well.

I was curious, so I checked and he is still on the air. But only in a handful of places (and none in Southern California).

18 seconds in. You can hear my Whoooooo as well. Just look for cheekbones. I have short black hair.

The show was at the Santa Monica Civic.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Magazine. They were at Urgh the same day at Boingo. I'm not in that clip, however.

I will have to check again when I can listen as well. I couldn't find you on just visuals.
