Link

Oh yeah!

GusGus 07-30-2008 10:27 AM

I've got to figure out where my copy of Book 6 is!

flippyshark 07-30-2008 10:31 AM

Very nice trailer. I'm looking forward to this one.

Gemini Cricket 07-30-2008 10:31 AM

Nice!

I was wondering what kind of approach they were going to take with this one. I like it. Creepy kid.

I know this is the ultimate in cheese to say this but every time I hear that theme I get goosebumps. Like just now watching this trailer.
:)

Oh, that's so weird. I was wondering why I was suddenly thinking of Harry Potter and when's the next movie on my way to work this morning.

innerSpaceman 07-30-2008 10:39 AM

Creepy casting choice for Boy Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes' Nephew). Also, I didn't see anything about "and the Half Blood Prince ... Part 1). Obviously I haven't been keeping up on things. Wasn't this one being filmed in two parts?

No- the next one is.

Snowflake 07-30-2008 10:46 AM

Kewl! thanks Nephy!

Looks good! Now I'm all impatient, dammit! This is just Harry Potter foreplay!

Disneyphile 07-30-2008 11:34 AM

At some point, I really should finish the book before the movie hits theaters.

For now, I think I'll avoid the trailer until I accomplish that task.

Now, if anyone has some time to spare for me to finish reading it, that'd be great.

lashbear 07-30-2008 01:13 PM

I've given it to Stoat to read in preparation for the movie. He has 4 months to finish it.

...Nepotism in casting !!!!! I'm sure little fiennes will do just fienne.

Very enticing trailer. Hurrah!

innerSpaceman 07-30-2008 03:31 PM

I think I like the trailer better than I did the book.

ToriBear 07-30-2008 03:48 PM

Awe, no movie could beat the book. Well, I'll have to see if it's better then the book or not, but the books will always be the best!:)

innerSpaceman 07-30-2008 04:28 PM

Eh, this was my least favorite book ... so I'll give the movie good odds.

I didn't care for the final book all that much either.

BarTopDancer 07-30-2008 05:59 PM

Ooo! Intrigued.

I forgot about the Basilisk though. I hope it's a fairly small part.

It is, but they put it in a clown costume.

katiesue 07-30-2008 06:27 PM

Can't wait!

libraryvixen 07-30-2008 07:02 PM

And put a dress on it. Ugh, that would one ugly thing... Hmm, now I'm wondering if it's a boy or a girl? Hehehe.

The boy who is going to be playing the young Tom is going to be great for the part.

So can't wait 'till the HBP comes out! Whee!

A collection of fairytales penned by Harry Potter author JK Rowling is to be published to raise money for a children's charity.
The Tales of Beedle the Bard, which Rowling first mentioned in The Deathly Hallows, will go on sale on 4 December.
A handwritten copy of the book was sold at auction for £1.95m last year.
Rowling wrote and illustrated seven copies of the book, but offered only one for sale. It was thought the book would never be published.

I don't have time to search, but I remember a LoT of people who said at the time "you bet she'll publish this eventually - too lucrative." or words to that effect.

..At least it's for charity.

Crazybirdman 07-31-2008 02:51 PM

That trailer was creepy, like Children of the Corn creepy
