New Couch
I've been saving for a new couch for a while now. With the proceeds from the garage sale, tips and my Arbonne check, I have enough to start looking. This is what I want.
However, this puppy is $2500. Way out of my current budget (not to mention the fact that, with as many animals as I have, spending that much on a couch would be just stupid). Thyere is also a leather couch I adore, but leather is NOT an option. I was surfing the net looking for options when I found the manufacturer that produced the sofa pictures above. They are local, sell direct to the public, do custom work and have the same sofa for $949 (plus $45 delivery). Score! I'm going this afternoon to look at microfiber fabric choices and place an order. I should have it in 2 weeks. If anyone is interested, here's a link to their site. If this works out, I may be ordering a love seat and a chair in the future. |
Wow, a gorgeous sofa!
|
This company also has a selection of modern and retro designs, if that's your thing.
|
Hmm, there's an ottoman or two in there that caught my eye.
|
Yeah, nice ottomans.
I also like this chair. I wonder if I could mix this in with the rest of the weird mix of furniture? |
I'd stay away from that ottoman if I were you. Remember the Ottoman Empire?
|
Nice couch... and I *love* that chair!

My only regret is, this place does not deliver to me in SF. I've found all sorts of things I love. :(

I'm going to spam you all and tell you again that Timber Towne here is Perris is having a 50% off sale on all furniture and accessories.
We have quite a few sofas and loveseats (and ottomans as well) from Mike Cimms - they do custom upholstry. Although I'm not certain of the 50% off on new custom orders. I'm telling you - we've got some really great furniture that's really really cheap. (Timber Towne has been struggling for a while - and they needed to generate some cash so - there you have it.) I know it's a huge drive out here but it's worth it. |
Not like I can afford it, but tease me anyway... how much is a corner sectional?
|
Way to go NA...remember I want to visit the new couch after it arrives (oh, and Thurston too)!
|
I'm surprised they don't deliver to SF. I know they delivered to Colorado. I'll ask today when I look at fabrics.

It's ordered, but I decided not to go with a deep win color. I'm going to recover the chaise in that color. Instead, I chose a beautiful taupish putty velvet sheen microfiber. It's going to be beautiful! 2 weeks!
|
Yay can't wait to see it!

Yes, but is it big enough for Chris to sleep on? A dog house would be smaller, cheaper and multi-purpose (with Thurston's permission). Love and hugs, The Stoat XXX. ;) |
I'm more likely to be the one sleeping on the couch these days.
|
In that case go for broke honey - is $2500 enough ?!!!
;) |

![]() That's currently $1200 (1/2 off $2400) - I think it might be a sleep sectional. ![]() 1/2 off regular price of $1229.95 - so it's about $615 - that's without the ottoman - I'm not sure if we have that or not. ![]() REgualr price is $1399 - so half off is about $700 ![]() Regular price is $2619 so it's currently about $1310 - not sure on the color of that one that we have in stock. The stock photo makes it look rather "frosty" and I don't remember seeing that over there. I have a feeling it's darker - more of a camel color. I think it might also come with an ottoman that's not shown that fits in the bend of the couch... ![]() This one is regularly at $1089.95 so it's about $544 now... it's also smaller then the others shown. The description says its ideal for smaller homes, condos or apartments and to the model home market. Not sure on the color - but I'm pretty sure it's not the color shown... on the computer the color says "passion" - whatever color that's supposed to be. May be reddish? Just a guess there... could be a pattern I guess. I think that's it for sectionals we have in stock - but we've got a bunch of sofas, loveseats, chairs and even a leapord print chaise if you're open to other forms of seating. For some of those shown above, there is just one left in stock. The Mike Cims ones (last two) are things we've ordered from a custom place so we've selected the fabric. |
I've never really understood bendy couches. Why not just fill in the middle space and turn your living room into a bounce house?
|
Wow! Those are some great prices.
What are the delivery charges to OC? Perris is a hike but... Do they have a website? |

Alright Mr. Smarty Pants! ;)
Yes - we do have a website: http://www.timbertowne.com Shown is a sample of what we have though - enough to update the website to the new format and dump a bunch of stuff we no longer carry. They stopped doing deliveries with the 1/2 price sale although I think they've bent the rules a few times for people that were local. They did charge them for it. As far as OC delivery, you're going to be better off getting a friend with a truck or renting a u-haul because the price of delivering it to OC would be abouty $500... it's not usually that much mind you - but with the 1/2 off sale they've cut it down to the bone and just can lose money by having to deliver it. Still though - it's a really good deal. I keep saying I'm going to go over on payday and buy some stuff - accessories in particular are flying off the shelves. They've got lamps, rugs, art, tables, antiques, reproductions, etc... lots of lots of stuff. And we've also got a 1925 Model T, a 1923 Fire truck and a steam engine tractor if you've got a hankering for anythign along those lines. I'm telling you - it's totally worth the drive out here... but not on Monday or Tuesday. They are closed. If you do come out during the week, tell them that Jennifer sent you over. I'd love to meet you guys in person someday. :) |
Hmm I need a curio cabinet - perhaps I'll make a jaunt to Perris this weekend.

![]() Regular price is $420 for the curio. http://www.homelegance.com/images/products/829W-11.jpg Not sure on the color we have... looks like we have a white one and another that's a mystery as no color is listed in our inventory program. Regular price is $769 so it's about $385 ![]() Regular price is $1400 - so it's about $700 ![]() There a little end table style - normal price is $153.95 so it's just $76.98 That's what comes up with a search for curio. There may be other ones that just don't have that as part of the description but still fit the style. I'm telling you guys - if you need any furniture, accessories, etc - now is the time to buy. Furniture stores everything are going out of business because of the stupid housing market. People tend to buy lots of new furniture when they get a new house. Look at Levitz and Wickes - they've been around for ages - but no more. They've all closed. Timber Towne isn't closing though. Rumor has it that the sale will be extended through September - but I don't think we are ordering any new stock so what you want may not be available if you wait. |
The end table one is totally what I'm looking for - road trip! How late are they open?

Beautiful stuff! Not in the budget right now, but definitely great stuff!

Hey Betty - any ottomans? We're looking for something with metal legs. Would prefer one smaller than the one you posted above, and looking for colors other than black, brown or white. Sage green, or pale blue, or maroon...

If you happen to come out, you may want to keep your eye out for the Perris Airport and the Orange Empire Train Musuem.
The airport is a fairly well known sky diving airport and you'll frequently see people "falling" from the sky while you're it the area. They also have a wind tunnel there for practicing. The airport was involved with the filming of the bucket list and where patrick swayze trained for Point Break. The train musuem is pretty cool as well and as Ward Kimbells train - which I think is called Grizzly flats. You can ride on the trains and for an additional fee, they'll even let you drive one around. Pretty cool if you have any interest in trains at all. Both of these places are very very close to Timber Towne - check out a map before coming... maybe you'll want to spend a little more time then you planned on. The airport is at one of our street and the train musuem would be at the other end except that it's a cul de sac so you have to drive all the way around. |

Thank you Betty!! I went up this morning and got two of the curio end tables. They're perfect - they even have lights. I'm so happy.
They had a lot of really great furniture and reasonable prices even before you took the 50% off. Now I'm off to re-arrange all my furniture. |
Pics please!
|
I will - all my collectibles are in the way back of the storage closet. Just got all the furniture moved around so now I can start loading them up.
|
I really can't read this thread without seeing "New Cooch". Thanks NA and Lashbear! :D
|
Here we go -
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And our new Stitch that we need to get framed. ![]() Anyone know a good place to get values on Disney collectibles? I've got all the crystals - they are not Lennox. The Disney Store sold them. The boxes just say Disney Crystal Collection. I've trolled ebay for years and never seen one come up. The were all editions of I think 500. Four of them are damaged, thank you Northridge. I've just always wondered what the current worth was. I have no plans to get rid of them. |
Very cool! I had no idea they had lights in them.

The pussy remains unwaxed at this moment

Cooches... pussies... who knew this would be a thread about furniture?

I have to laugh - running through trendy Northwest Portland, just north of downtown, is NW Couch St., which any Portlander will tell you, is pronounced "Cooch". (Really!)
|
Very nice couch. I too covet it.

awwww. I miss my couch and my kittens. Sadness.
