33

Yesterday, I had a chance to visit Club 33. My experience was wonderful.

Here are some pics of me, Steph and Cam at Club 33.

Here are pics of mostly Club 33 itself.

My awesome friends, Cam & Steph, got us all in to Club 33. I have always wanted to get in and finally after all this time, I got my wish.

The food was great. I had the steak.

The service was excellent. We were served by a CM that has worked there for 25 years. She was very sweet and funny as heck.

They let us wander around and take pics.

I decided against buying Club 33 souvenirs because I'm currently on a kick to de-clutter and de-tchotchky my life. Cam & Steph got pins and a mug.

And, yes, we stole the Club 33 pen that came with our bill.

:)

Congrats GC! That has been one of my wishes for decades as well!

Perhaps someday my ship will come in. I even knew a Chef there once (Chef Chris, now the head chef of Goofy's) and I still never made it.

Chernabog 09-03-2008 11:11 PM

Yay!! Glad you finally got to experience 33. It's the strangest feeling to go someplace in Disneyland you've never been to, considering how ridiculously familiar we are with the place.

~MS~ 09-03-2008 11:32 PM

Congratulations Brad! I've been once, it was amazing.

Snowflake 09-04-2008 06:04 AM

:) great pics! Glad you got to go finally!*

*still envious, heh

Cadaverous Pallor 09-04-2008 08:26 AM

What, no photos of the toilet? ;) (I took a picture of that.) Glad you got to go!

flippyshark 09-04-2008 08:45 AM

I came oh-so-close to getting in once on a business trip, and we were yanked out at the last minute because someone higher and mightier than us wanted in.

Someday. *sigh*

Steph took a picture of the one in the Ladies'. The Men's was occupied by someone else.
:D

katiesue 09-04-2008 09:23 AM

Yay - very cool pix. Glad you got to go.

alphabassettgrrl 09-04-2008 09:55 AM

Coolness! I hope to get there one of these days.

Gemini Cricket 09-04-2008 10:26 AM

Hummm "Toilet" and "Glad you got to go" in the same message? There has got to be some way of working that into a killer quote......

JWBear 09-04-2008 12:12 PM

Sounds like a job for kevy (if he ever comes back)!

Poor Kevy, he's been hard at work on the photoshop job I gave him, he's probably under a desk, exhausted from the crappy detail work (miracle job) he is doing on the photos.

Moonliner 09-04-2008 12:26 PM

Wait? You mean Kevy is not here to defend himself?

Oh how the mind boggles at the opportunities.....

Alex 09-04-2008 12:56 PM

I don't think I've ever gone into the Club 33 restrooms. Why do you pee through a sieve?

Bornieo: Fully Loaded 09-04-2008 12:56 PM

Awesome!

So is that a toilet seat or a filter?

Gemini Cricket 09-04-2008 01:01 PM

It's this new idea at Disneyland. It's called Peecycle.
The logo for the program is Jiminy Cricket taking a whiz in Cleo's fishbowl as she swims merrily.

innerSpaceman 09-04-2008 01:05 PM

I dunno why, but that reminds me of the video cycles they had in the Wonders of Life pavilioin at Epcot ... you would work the pedals and the handlebars, and a video monitor in your face would take you anywhere in Disneyland ... you decide the speed and direction.

It was neet.

And it did make me wanna pee.

cirquelover 09-04-2008 03:36 PM

It looks like you had a great time. I'm glad you were finally able to go, maybe someday I can too.

MouseWife 09-04-2008 07:30 PM

GC~ I am so glad that you had a chance to go. You look quite pleased. :D

wolfy999 09-04-2008 08:00 PM

Congrats GC....so glad you had a good time!

If by "pleased" you mean "fat", then I'll agree with you. I need to go on a diet. Not only that, but I can't do anything about my turkey neck in pictures. And I refuse to wear turtleneck sweaters in the summer.
:D
And, yes, I'm only joking and don't really mean it. But I think I could stand to lose maybe 10 pounds.
:)

innerSpaceman 09-04-2008 09:38 PM

Maybe it's just the 10 pounds that the camera adds, darling. ;)

Yes, that's it. I need to buy a thinner camera.
:D

MouseWife 09-04-2008 09:42 PM

LOL iSm is right.

But, if you wanna have some fun, go out and do something!

I've been enjoying walking, running, biking, whatever I can do without spending money. I try not to spend money {although I hear some of the equipment at 24 hour fitness is cool}. It feels good.

But, no, I really meant your eyes looked happy and you looked genuinely pleased. :0)

Gemini Cricket 09-04-2008 10:09 PM

Oh, isn't there any kind of exercise where you don't have to do anything?
:D

You're 100% right. I was...am.
:)

tracilicious 09-05-2008 12:04 AM

I'm still confused about the toilet.

Was the toilet mid-century vintage or something? :P

Congrats GC, What a fabulous experience! :D

Cadaverous Pallor 09-05-2008 08:38 AM

Yup, that's the toilet. The lid is down. I don't know if it was the same in the men's room.

The wicker screen over the bowl is the lid.

CP ~ Didn't get to see the men's toilet. Someone was doing serious dumpage in there so I skipped the photo session for it.
:D

JWBear 09-05-2008 09:21 AM

Is that a scrap of toilet paper I see on the floor?

Morrigoon 09-05-2008 09:42 AM

The lid only tells half the story, the seat is pretty unusual too.

Yes, and a foot on the left-hand side holding the door open :D

It lifts and separates.

Just think, Disneyland was conceived because he had to sit on a bench and watch his daughter, this toilet was built so he could drop the kids off at the pool...

RStar 09-05-2008 10:13 PM

And the wicker seat is actually a filter......

Visible Mojo Matt!!:D

alphabassettgrrl 09-06-2008 01:59 PM

I dreamed about a bathroom last night. The toilet seats were different in every stall and I didn't want to pick the wrong one.

One of the options was the one in the picture. I still don't know which was the right one.

Mary Blairiffic 09-06-2008 07:48 PM

Wow -- that is amazing. Thank you for sharing with the class.:snap:

Has anyone been to Walt's in Disneyland Paris? It reminds me a bit of Walt's. It's the nicey nice restaurant on Main Street in DLP.

alphabassettgrrl 09-06-2008 07:58 PM

OOooohhhh, Paris! I *will* get there one of these days. :)

Colander. You might want to avoid their pasta.

Knowing my dreams, a rip would appear in the fabric of the universe and it would be all my fault. Reality would unravel.

Actually, knowing my dreams, I'd switch to a completely different scene, leaving myself to wonder what indeed would have happened.

I think there are a number of us here who've been. I myself, am ready for a return visit.

I went to Walt's in DLP with zapppop and iSm. It was wonderful. Both restaurants are worthy of repeat visits.
:)

Alex 09-07-2008 10:36 AM

We'll be at DLP next month, but I haven't even looked at a guide to know what is there so I don't know where we'll be going.

Cadaverous Pallor 09-07-2008 11:24 AM

We had a look around at Walt's at DLP but it was too busy for us at the time. Very cute place.

Stan4dSteph 09-07-2008 12:38 PM

bopazot showed me around inside, but we didn't take the time to eat there.
