I loved Balboa Park the one day I got to spend all too brief a time there. (I was a bit less impressed with the San Diego Zoo, which is why I was there. I mean, it's all right. I liked the Wild Animal Park better.) Ramble ramble. Anyway, great pics.

It was really quiet today - most of the birds were napping in the shade while I walked, and there weren't many people other than the fishermen.

Your photos are gorgeous, Matt! Great job on capturing the details, beauty and action of birds in motion. Lake Balboa looks like yet another "hidden gem" in diverse SoCal. Thanks for introducing the place (to me at least) as a spot I need to visit and photograph. :)
