Fall/Winter Wishlist
To go along with my doomsday snacking free-for-all, I want
![]() $50 at Nordstrom's Your turn! |
Well since you asked. Pretty much a list of frivolous things I'd like to have if I have enough money burning in my pockets.
Nice slippers. I love the color and that there are bunnies on them :) |
Bunny!
|
While I am not able to wear her fashion, My God!, I love Diane von Furstenberg's fabrics! Me want some!
|
|
I want a better president this fall/winter.

Let's see... end-of-year retention bonus, after withholding... |

I'll go fix that now... |
All I ask at this point is to be able to sleep through the night without waking up at some point to turn over my sweat soaked pillow.
|
|
I always find myself traveling in Fall to places that have actual weather where I'm inspired to buy something, usually made of wool. Then I get home and never have occasion to wear it. :(
|

I like this outfit. I need to get some wellies. ![]() |
I'm traveling to Europe next months for two weeks taking only one bag weighing no more than 13 pounds (including 4 pounds of camera stuff). If the weather sucks I'll be buying clothes over there that I'll never wear again when I get home.
|
|
Alex: That sounds like the way to go these days. Wear your heaviest stuff to walk on the plane and buy whatever else. Souvenirs AND luggage, heh!

Fluevogs, Ms. blueerica. You gotta gotta have 'em. |
I keep finding sweaters I love and then realizing I will have absolutely no need for them.

|
Those black boots Erica linked to...damn.
I hate Fluevogs because I can't have them. |
THIS - $285. Hmm... I think I'll make one instead. I'd be terrified of damaging it.
(Would be faboo on Bats Day!) |
Mmmm Fluevogs...
|
All I want is one of these.
|
Dude, CM, if you wanna mad mouse, how about this one?
![]() |
It's not a Mad Mouse, but I'd take one of those, too :)
Usedrides.com also has a Galaxy coaster and a few different corndog carts that would rock, too. |
Since BDBopper shared his, here's mine: http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wi.../3BB1LCFOYF0JL
|
I want a hippopotamus for Christmas.
Only a hippopotamus will do. |
Don't want a doll?
Or dinky Tinker Toys? |
Well, I already got that slew of pieces from the spring wishlist thread a few weeks ago. But I also like...
This party dress This gray jumper This wrap dress |
I could buy several thousand pairs of Fluevogs on an annul basis. Sadly, I'm stuck with the reality of about 2 a year (and a year's almost up!)
I also would really love to have these in all three colors. I think I'll start with black first, however. ![]() Now, the reality of new fall clothes is that the majority of my pants are too big due to weight loss. Now, I probably NEED pants, but I'm not done losing weight, so I'm going to run about in sloppy drawers for a bit longer. (That, and I'd really rather have shoes.) |
I want a hippopotamus to play with and enjoy!
|
I want nice cool weather, with some rain, and very little wind.
I also want at least some form of nearly steady income so we can have a little bit of a life again. Goodness knows I'm sick of being cooped up. So, here's hoping for some new work! And, everything from this list: Amazon |
Lisa, those shoes are *gorgeous*.
|
Oh, and I want everything Coco Chanel designed during WWI.
|
Mmmm Fluevogs
|
Nice shoes! I've been wanting to get a pair in a similar style for a while.
|
Quote:
P.S. to NA: gorgeous! |

|
I love that shoe, NA!
Also saw some seriously drool-worthy heels at Target. OMG, I almost never wear heels (because then I'd have to wear nylons) and I totally want to buy a couple pairs right now. |
Pff, shoes. I'm still looking at motorcycles.
|
Boys are stupid. Throw rocks at them.
|
This totally would not go with my room, but I just wanna say that I heart this bed set:
http://www.target.com/DwellStudio-Ta...e=1&rh=&page=1 |
I want an iPod Touch and a flat-panel TV. I also want a new couch for my living room.
|
|
Whit, other than your especially-want, i can't see the images! And I want to.
|
Ooops...I'm obviously a dolt.
|
Weird...
Let me try again. ARG!!! When I post the Louboutins and check the link, they're there. But when I come back it says link not found. Strangely, the Miu Miu picture (below) is still there  ...off to find pictures elsewhere. I also found this. It seems like everyone has a little bondage bootie out this season but I particularly like this one for jeans or maybe a black wrap dress. :Sigh:...I'm sure my mortgage company will let me skip a payment (or 2). :D |
Success!
Louboutin bootie and the shoes :snap: <-----(Clickity on the snap) I wonder if Mr. Christian Louboutin is looking for a new best friend? |
LOVE the last Louboutin's.
|
I have my "this season's Orla Kiely lust bag" picked out. I'll take this one please.
|
Ooh, and they have one in my favorite color combo right now!
|

I could spend three thousand dollars in under a minute on that site. I've been coveting an OK purse for several seasons. I've managed to get a wallet. |
So bellissima with a navy skirt. $98 smackers at J. Crew |
Yeah, the J CREW catalog had me going last night. Must have pencil skirt.
|
So Target is running out or out of most of the adorable shoes. There was a to die for pair of dark red heels that I was finally ready to buy, but alas, none left in the right size.
Available online (I think $5 more expensive, but I could be wrong): http://www.target.com/Mossimo-Velda-...7B11%7B&page=1 I'd totally wear that with like dark blue jeans or a nice dress I also like this one: http://www.target.com/Mossimo-Vlasta...7B11%7B&page=1 and it also comes in purple: http://www.target.com/Mossimo-Vlasta...7B11%7B&page=2 And though I need another purple shoe like I need a hole in my head, this appeals too: http://www.target.com/Womens-Xhilara...7B11%7B&page=1 What they do still have is this darling number, which is so freaking cute that I'll forgive it for being a peep-toe: http://www.target.com/Mossimo-Irene-...7B11%7B&page=2 (I have nothing against peep-toes except when they're on my hideous feet) |

*Swoon*, the Lovely Mrs. tod!
So what do you all think of ![]() |
Love the buttery yellow color!
Morrigoon, those red peep-toes are SO cute (and I loves me a red shoe!) and only $22?! Love this. Now I just need the smaller boobs to fit in it. Ooooo! This is a totally adorable skirt which also comes in this color...but I think I'd need to be nearly hipless to really work the black on cream version. Sigh...I heart Nanette Lapore.... I really like this Chaiken sweater coat too. I need about $50,000+ more a year to afford the wardrobe I'd really like to have... |

Also in red, black or ivory. I'm lusting after pencil skirts even though I don't have the legs to wear them. I am also getting inspiration (ie: ideas to steal) from the J Crew jewelry line. I think I'll be making another necklace soon. |
So after a visit to a different Target, which had many of the above-linked shoes... those amazing wine colored ones don't quite work on me. They're cute as heck, but those heels are absolutely evil high.
The red peep toes, on the other hand... I'm in shoe love. I'm holding off for the moment (sleeping on it, as it were), but I will most likely go back for them. I even have a dress they go perfect with! (Vintage-style 40's dress, black with red cherries on it) |
Damn that Nordstrom! I've got an evening wedding to attend in a few months, in the desert. Wow.

Well, would ya look at who the cat dragged in? How the hell are you, you old bat? |
Dear Lane Bryant,
I like this necklace! I notice that you're calling it "Moreno" glass in the header, and "Moranoe" glass in the body of the entry. And I'm not sure, but I think you might actually mean "Murano," the glass that is made on the island of Murano, which is in Venice, Italy. I know. I know that the people of the United States have come up with all kinds of appropriations for things Italian (Turin instead of Torino, Florence instead of Firenze, pizza with dry shredded cheese and all matter of toppings instead of bread and fresh buffalo mozzarella, basil and tomatoes...) But neither of those is the accepted spelling. Unless, of course, by using multiple spellings that are close enough to the right one, you're leading us to believe that the glass beads are from Italy without explicitly lying. Perhaps they're only from Moreno's Glass in Corpus Christi, TX, if they are now doing baubles instead of car windows. Who am I to complain? Well, it wouldn't matter if I'd fallen in love with Murano a few years ago and tragically lost my carry-on containing the prettiest blue and green vase a girl could dream of. And it wouldn't matter if I produced websites for a living and embraced pedantry as a way of life. What matters is that I'm a girl who likes a fashion website to be run by people who know what they're doing, and who use the correct terminology as a nationally-known business ought to. Kisses, LSPE PS: Stop it with the satin shirts. They don't look good on anyone for whom you're making clothes. |

Hi Helen :) |
Dear LSpoorwhateveryournameis.
Our beautiful necklace was named after Rita Moreno. Stop being so pedantic and buy the damn thing already. Love, LB. |
Zac Posen.
Zac Posen. Zack Posen. And this isn't a Zac Posen, but day-um, I wants it: ![]() I am also presently drooling over this Stop Staring. |

Etsy, while looking for Murano glass. It was surprisingly inexpensive!

Not like I'm going to get it, but I totally want this gorgeous dress

Very pretty! |
It gives me some ideas of how to use a Titanic pattern that I have though. :)
|
I've been collecting late Edwardian/teens clothing (hats, shoes, jewelry) and am plotting a couple of dresses too! Which pattern do you have? I'm going to be modifying the Laughing Moon Mercantile one for a tea gown, and I've got some old draft-them-yourself pattern books from the era as source for a nice walking suit. My inspiration has been more Out of Africa than Titanic, but love the outfits in both!
|
Quote:
It's beautiful! Listen, as a non-sewer (a great regret) can you get new patterns sort of based on classic gowns, like Paquin, Poiret or Worth? On a simpler scale, of course! |

There are companies that specialize in historical recreations of museum pieces (Folkwear, Past Patterns, etc.), although I've never tried any of those. I generally use the mainstream commercial patterns (because I can pick them up on sale for like $1/ea) and mess with those. |
I need a place to wear the creations...any ideas?
