T-Mobile having issues?

Is anyone else having issues with T-Mobile at the moment? Both myself and a co-worker cannot connect at the moment (near John Wayne Airport).

I can get to twitter, facebook and myspace.

Over the weekend I was having some trouble with EDGE, but as soon as I charged my battery it was fixed. Not sure if it was a coincidence or not.

I'd suggest powering down your phone, pulling the battery for about 15 seconds, putting the battery back in and turning the phone back on (those are the first steps they will make you do if you call).

Did that already (both of us).

I heard t-mobile was having issues... people in the office were mentioning it.

Then I suggest a baseball bat.

I just tried my Dad's cell phone in Laguna Woods on our T-Mobile phone and our landline from here in AZ and I can't get through. But, I can make and receive calls here on the Phoenix network.

I blame Catherine Zeta Jones and Jamie Lee Curtis.

BarTopDancer 09-15-2008 01:59 PM

I can make calls and the BB network is working over my BB.

Have you tried calling T-Mobile?

I don't really have time to post on Lot, much less wait on hold.

Although I am doing the former anyways.

BarTopDancer 09-15-2008 03:22 PM

The former is the sure fire way to find out if they are having trouble. Not that it would make the trouble go away. I find their wait times are few and far between.

I made my cow-orker call:

We are experiencing tower outages between Irvine and Torrance. While they are down, you will be unable to make or receive calls. We do not have a time estimate as to when this service will be restored.
Or something to that effect.

BarTopDancer 09-15-2008 04:00 PM

Blah. Thank you for that update.

BarTopDancer 09-15-2008 06:49 PM

No service at home.

Kevy Baby 09-15-2008 10:18 PM

My phone started getting reception sometime around 6:00 ish. At least that's when I received an email on my phone and checked my bars to see that I had service.

Moonliner 09-16-2008 06:34 AM

Sure perhaps today (or I guess it's now yesterday) you had problems with T-Mobile but soon we, the T-mobile elite, will have the last laugh. We will be smirking at all those platform locked iPhone nerds as we cruise our way into the future carrying our ultra-fab (if just a tad dorky looking) Google-Android phones. Cower in fear you drones of the Apple world....

My service came back last night as well. Not sure what time because I gave up looking at my phone.
