Politcal Cartoons

2 Attachment(s)
These may get lost in the discussion political threads. A friend sent me this and I had to pass it along.

Feel free to add any other politcal toons (and photos) here. Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Green Party and anyone else I've missed, they're all welcome for lampooning here!

She might be the only Republican who wouldn't be afraid to go hunting with Dick Cheney.

The score so far is
  • 11 Conservative bashing
  • Two Liberal bashing
  • One neutral (and that is being nice - the casket one) bashing
In case anyone wondered what the leaning of this board was.

Alex 09-22-2008 01:45 PM

Libertarian?

Of which faction has more time on their hands.

Well, I've been hunting (not too hard mind) in the spirit of fairness for something equally funny (at least to me) regarding Obama and have come up empty handed. One basketball cartoon today, overall, I think the cartoonists are finding Obama dull. Of course, I am an idiot, I should have been looking at these during the primaries, I am sure many were choice!

innerSpaceman 09-22-2008 03:59 PM

For the sake of good comedy, I almost want McCain and Palin to win.

OMG, won't it be hysterical when McCain dies of a massive coronary, and Sarah Palin is coronated as President of the United States?!?

HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHA!

oh.

wait.

Kevy Baby 09-23-2008 03:33 PM

Just got this email:

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old rancher, who's hand was caught in the gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually, the topic got around to Obama and his bid to be our president.

The old rancher said, "Well, ya know, Obama is a 'Post Turtle' ". Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a 'post turtle' was. The old rancher said, "When your driving down a country road, and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle'."

The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain, "You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, and he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, and you just wonder what kind of dumbass put him up there to begin with".

Ghoulish Delight 09-23-2008 03:42 PM

Uh, I don't get it. How does that relate to Obama?

Alex 09-23-2008 04:07 PM

Obama isn't qualified to be where he is, doesn't know what to do now that he's there, and it is perplexing to try and figure out how he got there.

Ghoulish Delight 09-23-2008 04:17 PM

Wow. If that's funniest someone can come up with, is it any wonder why the numbers are so disproportionate?

Some of your liberal friends found it funny 4 years ago:):)

:)

Alex 09-23-2008 04:35 PM

It may not be funny, but it wasn't invented for him specifically either.

Here it is with Bush in Obama's place.
Here it is with Nancy Pelosi.
Here it is with Sarah Palin.
Here it is with Kevin Rudd, Prime Minister of Australia.
Here it is with John McCain
Here it is with Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada.
Here it is with Bobby Cox, manager of the Atlanta Braves.
Here it is with John Kerry.
Here it is with Gordon Brown, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

Interesting to see the many various ages and home location for the old clumsy guy needing stitches.

(Referring to post-turtle) That's what I call a "ready-made" joke. Completely without context, just insert your chosen target. It's kind of like instant pudding. It gets the job done but it isn't particularly good.

I posted this in the McCain thread too

and while not strictly a comic, I find it funny and felt it was worth cross-posting.

Palin's Oval Office

:snap: to the creator, clever and fun
(and poor taste, Bambi, Nooooooooooooo :( )

Yes, hilarious the way John McCain is so desperate that all he's got left is purposely misrepresenting a slightly ambiguous wording of a very salient point in favor of Obama.

They've (whoever they are) have been updating this every other day or so. Click the door more than once, the desk doors, etc. etc.

It has provided some amusement over the last days. Not so much the deer, bunny or penguin
