Why is no one posting?

It has been 2 hours and 9 minutes since the last post here on LoT. WHY IS NO ONE POSTING?!?

Everyone's taking a Nap?

I keep trying, but there's this annoying cockroach crawling around on my monitor and no matter how hard I try to squish it it just won't die!

I was at a movie premiere.

I woke up this morning - still dead.

I noticed it was slow for the past couple of weeks, but it seems like we're back on track for another busy posting season.

My laptop was in my car

I poured most of a tall glass of ice water on my Mac.

(ripped the MagSafe connector out and pulled the battery within seconds, got as much water out as I could then went over it with a hair dryer on "cool" for an hour or so and then let it air-dry overnight -- it's fine now. sigh.)

I haven't been posting much since I've felt out-of-the-loop lately; it's hard to get back into things.

Speaking of not posting. I wonder what happened to the Stroup and Lani.

I did freak out, but only afterwards. This computer is only three months old. I bought it after spilling soup into my Dell laptop. :rolleyes: I am so completely relieved there was no damage!

Of course there will, we'll start talking about Christmas (sorry I meant HanuChristmaKwanzaakah) shopping, decorating, and how to balance our schedules.

Moonie Jr. has the MSI Wind netbook. A surprisingly capable little bundle of computer fun.

As I believe I have said here before, it runs everything he needs for school but sucks at WOW. Perfect.

I love the campaigns. I have to admire the kids when they do that. Tantrums only succeed in bugging the heck out of me and they get nothing!!

Of course, when they were very little, they did the crying jag. wendybeth, from that, I also had the idea of throwing a tantrum and crying in the store. I was thisclose to doing so. I really wanted a dining room set. But, I asked if it would work and the Hubster said no so I didn't waste my time.

I did get one eventually, btw.

And, thanks, Morri, for the links. I, too, really really really want a laptop.

During the 1500s, a printer adapted Cicero's text to develop a page of type samples. Since then, the Latin-like text has been the printing industry's standard for fake, or dummy, text. I ususally get shiny new things for Xmas from my parents lol or bdays. It just depends. Even though i work and pay bills and can save up money it's still nice that i can get a laptop or cell phone every now and then. Ok ask for a laptop for Xmas lol oopss shouldn't put that hint out there like that....

I love Doctor Who! I'm so glad they brought it back. I'm waiting for Torchwood, too. Terribly impatiently.

Note to self- check TiVo, make sure it is scheduled to record the new episodes when they come on.

I've seen a little of the new Dr. Who. Cheesy, but I like that sort of thing :)

(Oh, and there's going to be a marathon of Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares on BBC like next weekend, woohoo!

But... but... but... I *like* the cheese. I like that in the old ones, you can sometimes see strings holding up the spaceships. I like that things look like you could construct them in your garage!

Was up until 3am, even with time change. My costume required a shower when I finally got home :)

Was up really really late, even with the time change, had to run errands and do some homework. Now I'm procrastinating.

I've worked two concerts and a load-out in two days. I'm tired but I'm also not tired. Tonight's load-out was Stomp. Fun set. The props guy didn't remember me from last year when he tried to hit on two of us. The other girl nearly did go to his hotel room that night; she thought he was cute.

And one of the guys had a rainbow Obama shirt. I like it. The downside of working these load-outs is that I come home wired and I can't sleep for a while.

Where is everyone? Still sleeping-off the party?

I don't know who but I assume some were at MouseAdventure and are now drinking it off.

Yeah, but i though they'd all be home long before now and post freaking something about a new mode of MouseAdventure played in the choking fumes of a major fire day.

I'm curious about it. But I must say, this being the 3rd time I've missed one (and the first time on purpose), I feel completely over it. I hope to be done.

But I still wouldn't mind hearing about the game and the day. Sheesh.
