Tour the Victorian El Mio - of Haunted Mansion Party Fame - TKG weekend

You've seen the Mansion gussied up for Halloween ... or perhaps you haven't had the pleasure.

Well, this is your chance to Tour the El Mio Mansion and experience all its 1887 Victorian Era splendor.

Sunday, November 30, 2008 (Thanksgiving Weekend), from 10am to 4pm, tours of the historic site* will be available to the general public - - many of them conducted by Yours Truly in inimitable style of informatively fun.

Hear about the Hidden History, Marvel at the Ingeneous Victorian Lifestyle.

Tickets are $5 per person, and are very limited. Please PM me or post in this thread if you are interested ... and I will see to it that you do not lose out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

No more sneaking around the house in secret during the party. You will be allowed to See It All.

Never Been to the Party? Now's Your Big Chance to experience the majesty of EL MIO.

5905 El Mio Drive, Highland Park, California.

Do you mean November 30th?

If so I think we're interested.

Kevy Baby 11-03-2008 01:06 PM

We bought four tix at the party. The other two are meant for NA & €.

JWBear 11-03-2008 01:14 PM

I'd love to, but considering that it's on my birthday, I may be busy.

Too bad the Tour's not on Thursday. But I offer a Free Ticket to anyone who's birthday falls on Sunday!

OOohh, I don't work that day... very tempting... I want...

innerSpaceman 11-20-2008 02:55 PM

Spaces still available for the fantastic Tour of the incredible El Mio, reputed to be haunted (well, reputed by me, who has been in the house alone at night .... creeeeepy), sight of historic seances (and not just by our mannequin-headed Madame Leota, but the real deal near the turn of the last century), and just a fantastic Phoenix Risen from the Ashes of a tragic fire 6 years ago to miraculously remain among California's glorious Historical Landmarks.

Sunday of Thanksgiving Weekend.

Proceeds benefit the Milford Archeological Research Institute.

And Tickets are a STEAL at Five Bucks a Pop!

What a way to kick off the holiday season, eh? :D

Oh I love El Mio! Spider Baby!!

innerSpaceman 11-20-2008 03:18 PM

Hahahahaha, Give That Woman A Prize.

Yes, folks, it's the Famous Film Location for that Cult Classic that apparently one other person has seen ... Spider Baby

flippyshark 11-20-2008 08:35 PM

At least two others. I love Spider Baby. This sounds like a great time.

Kevy Baby 11-20-2008 09:47 PM

And a reminder to NA anduromeinke that I am holding two tickets for you for this.

I'll check the tix when I get home, but I thought there were no specific times. At least I don't remember there being one when I bought the tix.

lizziebith 11-21-2008 01:54 AM

I'd love to do the tour, but I might just have to remain a sneaker-around-at-the-parties gal. ;) Let me check schedules...

innerSpaceman 11-28-2008 05:17 PM

SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY! Monster Truck .... er, Victorian House Tour!!

€uroMeinke 11-28-2008 05:24 PM

So is this house owned by your Mormon friends?

innerSpaceman 11-28-2008 06:02 PM

I have no Mormon friends.

(any longer)

there seems to have been a falling out....

innerSpaceman 11-28-2008 10:19 PM

Mormon Friends + Prop 8 vote x defenisiveness of cult - friendship = current situation.

BUT, the Judge who build the house was a famous occultist who performed real seances in the very room where Madam Leota recently held forth ... and who knows, maybe we shall try to ressurect the spirit of dead friendships this very weekend.

We need to get there in time that we can get home to make a dish for a put-luck dinner the same evening. Because of other details, I think we need to chat live.
