A little curiosity and checking points out that we have not a non-fund raising thread in a while. Do y'all realize that we are approaching the LoT's 4th birthday?

I don't know about you, but the LoT is so much more than just another message board. It is a place where I can hang my hat and visit with friends. Y'all aren't just a bunch of anonymous posters: you are all my friends. Even if I haven't met you IRL, I still feel a close bond to each and every one of you (well, except Moonliner: I just tolerate him for the sake of peace, love and harmony).

So that we may all continue to enjoy our happy little slice of the internet, won't you take a minute to scroll to the bottom of this (and every other) page and click the "Click to Pay" button? It doesn't cost a lot to maintain this joint, but I certainly think that the least we can do is help out the hep cats who run this joint by throwing a couple of bones their way. Go ahead and do it now and you'll get these warm fuzzy feelings. And you won't need to take penicillin for it!

Okay, that' bizarre. When I copied the text above, it showed the Xenarchy URL. WTF?

We're such money-grubbing whores that we haven't looked at our donation page since 4 years ago.


I think we set up a global rule on the board to replace any instances of xenarchy.com with loungeoftomorrow.com. Sometimes we're smart.

Judging by the dearth of posts in this thread, I am concerned that there hasn't been much action on this. Maybe I wasn't clear.

The LoT is not terribly expensive to run, but there are costs involved. I think it is fair if those of us users who aren't Mods/Admins chip in a little to cover the cost. If everyone chipped in $5 or $10, I am sure that would cover it. Just click the Amazon Honor System link at the bottom of the page, and throw the powers that be a bone.

I cant figure out how to paypal it there. I have a (minor) surplus there that Id prefer to tap for donation...thoughts? other than 'stop being such a wanker and crack that wallet open ya cheapskate' that is.

I guess we can go directly through paypal, but then I have to figure out how to get it to my back account to pay the bills. My paypal account is under firstlast@gmail.com , however, I don't think you can be anonymous and I know some prefer that.

I believe PayPal has a similar "Donations" thing if you want to look into it.

Was a resolution ever found? I know NA hasn't been doing much lately and has loads of free time on her hands. ;)

I'd like to kick in as well, of course. Can we just send it to Lisa's PayPal account?
