Where's Brad?

The answer, apparently, is everywhere AND ... nowhere.

Isn't it ironic that the day the Brad Avatar campaign begins, the man who changes his avatar more often than his socks is nowhere to be seen ... or to see the phenomena with his own peepers?

Maybe he's just overwhelmed by the LoVe.

Ghoulish Delight 11-25-2008 03:59 PM

Malcovich Malcovich.

Not Afraid 11-25-2008 04:31 PM

Brad's at DL, I believe.

<Except in this picture. He's at King's Canyon.

Ghoulish Delight 11-25-2008 04:32 PM

<--- I like how on short posts, my stolen-from-Brad avatar/sig is checking out her own ass.

~MS~ 11-25-2008 05:18 PM

Joining in on celebrating another adventure for our very own GC.

wolfy999 11-25-2008 06:04 PM

Disneyland...hugged him this morning.

Your avatar reminds me of someone...

wendybeth 11-25-2008 11:57 PM

When is he moving?

BarTopDancer 11-25-2008 11:58 PM

NEVER!!!!!!!!!!

Gemini Cricket 11-26-2008 02:51 AM

Tee hee!
You guys are amazing.

Sayyyy, who's the goofy guy with the receding hairline in all dem pictures?
;)

Thank you, you crazy, wonderful, lovely swankers.
:)

I was at DL all day thanks to our wolfy999. I had a blast. I am going to post some pics.

I leave California on Dec 2 at 4pm via Bornieo Super Shuttle Service to LAX. I will be wearing several layers of clothing including a trench coat, suit jacket, sweater and hiking boots. (This way I will have room for other pieces of clothing and shoes in my luggage.) I will resemble a walking costume rack.

An official day of mourning on the mainland.

Heh, are you flying First Class? How you going to fit in the seat with all those clothes on your back? My brain is seeing you dressed like Ralphie's brother in A Christmas Story. :D

Cadaverous Pallor 11-26-2008 09:10 AM

During conversation last night, we had some reason to break into GC's patented "1940's movie dialog voice" (As in "now listen here, see") and I found myself even sadder about the departure.

Sad cheese!! :(

I would imagine he is pretty much continually moving. Otherwise his muscles would atrophy.

He would get dusty too.

Sad cheese!! :(

Listen, sister. Get your notepad, see? No onion tears, got that? It'll only make you cheese curdle.
:D

In all honesty, it hit me a couple of times yesterday and several times in the past month. But I'm in a funky mode right now. I've been sad and yet focused at the same time. Got so much to do still. Sad cheese but focused too.

Like Mama Cass sang:
Look over the passing train
And there I am
No matter were I am
I'm passing through

Don't worry. When he tires of the weather in Hawaii, the way people are all laid back and friendly, the exciting globe trotting and the joy of new creative discoveries, he'll come crawling back.

Won't he? :(

BDBopper 11-26-2008 12:18 PM

Ya want to know something, Brad? I live thousands of miles away and have never met you in person and my :( is still sad because it means that you will probably be around the Internets less. The LoT will have a little piece missing when you are gone. I am overjoyed that you are headed to your home state and have been blessed with exciting opportunities for adventure but what about us, especially those closest to you in SoCal? Does this mean they have to kidnap me next September so their void may be filled?

All kidding aside only the best of luck is wished to you from my end. I am so proud of you!

innerSpaceman 11-26-2008 12:20 PM

If I weren't so :) for Brad, I cannot even fathom how :( I'd be.

madmonkeygirl 11-26-2008 12:21 PM

I am extremely sad to see Brad leaving. :( See...and Lucy and Ethel too since they've grown used to you sitting for them. But hey it's all good it's not a final goodbye it's only see you later. I forget who said that to me about goodbyes since i hate goodbyes. Doesn't make it any easier but at least tolerable. Still won't be the same but you'd better come on here and post.

Prudence 11-26-2008 12:24 PM

My sad cheese is brightened slightly by the thoughts of excuses to visit Hawaii. Hmmm..... I've never been..... Obviously the proper way to work through this grief is to plan a group swanking to Hawaii.

Snowflake 11-26-2008 12:33 PM

Well, I am looking forward to seeing pics of Brad as he travels the globe. Like a swanking I can be jealous over, Sydney Swnking with the LashPair!

(pea green with envy icon goes here)

It's not "Goodbye." It's just "Good night." - Alan Freed

JWBear 11-26-2008 01:21 PM

Yes Brad... Once you get all settled in your Hawaiian digs, you'll have to let us know when we can all come over to visit in one big group swanking.

We can all stay at your place, right? (Hope you have enough towels!)

Towels, hell, a truckload of bacon!

innerSpaceman 11-26-2008 01:49 PM

I dunno 'bout bacon, but he'll still have lots of that Hawaiian macaroni salad left over. :p

JWBear 11-26-2008 03:24 PM

I think that macaroni salad will still be around when the last sun goes out, and the universe collapses in on itself.

Bornieo: Fully Loaded 11-26-2008 03:31 PM

Well, last night GC had the magical touch. As the amazing Christmas fireworks were ending and Baby Jesus was shot across the sky, instead of having they typical disney "snow," god gave us rain, on cue. "White Christmas" became "Wet Christmas."

Thanks Brad.

Ghoulish Delight 11-26-2008 03:33 PM

It had been raining all evening in Orange, so I was pretty surprised to hear the 'works. Glad he got to see the show before abandoning us.

Not Afraid 11-26-2008 10:44 PM

I have a feeling that, in Hawaii, we're all going to have to give up bacon for Spam.

I tried bar-b-qued teryaki pinapple spam on a skewer once. It wasn't bad....

But it will never replace bacon.
