"First Lady of Star Trek" Majel Barrett-Roddenberry Has Passed Away at Age 76
Wired
Reuters http://www.roddenberry.com/ ![]() I'm almost in tears over this news. I had met and chatted with her at length on several occasions. She was always very welcoming and friendly. I am glad she was able to complete her work as the voice of the computer on the new Star Trek film. I cannot possibly imagine any other voice coming out of a Trek computer. |
RIP ....you will be missed.

Aw, this is a sad day for trekkies.
:( My computer is sad. |
:( Majel Barrett rocked.

:(
goodbye and thank you |
:(
My inner Trekkie is sad. |
Goodbye Computer. Goodbye Lwaxana. Goodbye Nurse Chapel.
Goodbye Majel. :( |
What GD said. :(

What a shame. She was a very classy lady. :(

Majel Barrett and Gene Rodenberry were wonderful examples of the sort of warm-hearted secular humanism that I personally long to see prevail in this galaxy. *sigh* Another class act has moved along.

Sad day for trekkies, I agree. (I'm one of them) :(
|
I have the Star Trek Omnipedia program on my computer that uses her voice, and it will be sad when I hear her now. She has a wonderful legacy, thanks to her creative husband Gene.
Thank you, Gene and Majel. You both will be remembered fondly. Cheers to you both! |
Another :( .
