Parachute skiing??? Do they retrieve the gear later? Whose job is that?
I think I'll pass. Not that I won't go skydiving, because I do want to someday, but skiing off a cliff, spinning and opening a chute? I don't think so. |

I think it's cool that someone is doing this, because it won't be me - must perfect the personal Zeppelin first...

A small personal airship is a great idea. |

 "I'm skiing, I'm skiing......
.....ok now I'm and Olympic diver...... .....and..... ....now I'm Batman." Looks like an f'n blast. |

They're using squirrel suits. Those things are awesome! They lower your terminal velocity by a huge amount by increasing drag (note the material stretched between the legs and extra on the sides as well). I've gone sky diving a few times, but the squirrel suits are usually only sold to those with more than 500 jumps. Supposedly an experienced jumper can jump from 13K feet from 2 miles off shore and glide all the way to shore the shore line before they have to deploy their chute.

The Rat is giggling with glee. I, however, will answer "no thanks" for him.

Of course, I once played Roller Lacrosse on a wooden dock jutting out into a Lake that lies in the shadow of an active volcano;) |
