Happy St Patrick's Day !!
 

It's St Patricks Day here, and I thought I'd get in before the rest of you. :D

Two years ago today, we were hopelessly lost on the Florida Turnpike whilst missing the St Paddys Day Parade at WDW which we were supposed to be watching with Matterhorn Fan.

I'm making Irish Stew with green champagne for dinner to celebrate, and Google has a nifty logo:

Oh God. Green eggs and ham in the morning.

It was cute the first dozen or so time but.....

Dang, I was going to go to the store to get a corned beef to slow cook in the morning. Oh well.

I did go to the St. Pat's Day Parade on Saturday and we got DRENCHED, but I got a couple of cabbages and some carrots and a potato (yea, just one) as well as some beads and lucky charms and fake flowers. Just your typical New Orleans St. Patrick's Day Parade! Oh, and we hit part of the St. Joseph's Day parade in the Quarter and got some MORE flowers and a few more beads - oh, and I didn't get them - but someone got some cute potato beads!

I forgot to wear green today. Thankfully no one tried to pinch me.

39 years ago today, I was pushed down on the blacktop by Joey Nimchick and Todd Rish (who were trying to pinch me) and I split open my chin. It required 3 stitches making me the 3rd member of my family whose name begins with an "L" who have had stitches on their chin.


Nine years ago today, drunkards walking back from O'Connels decided it would be fun to walk over Chris' car, leaving a trail of dents across the roof.

Aw; such fun happy memories

So, did you escape unscathed this year?

I hope so. I haven't been outside yet to see if my blue car is now green.
