I will be off work, but stuck out in the valley, taking care of the kids.

Anything you'd like. I'm going to be serving hor d'oeuvre-y nibbly stuff.

My cheese is not happy. The MS Walk is the next morning and I have to set up that evening (and try t get to bed at a reasonable hour).

Ken and I are a definite, but may be a tad late, depending on what time I return from my NAB trip. :)

My cheese is in flux until the playoff schedule is released. Presuming we make the playoffs. If we don't my cheese may just be annoyed and will remain at home.

I think there's a good chance we'll make it, but we'll be late because work doesn't end until 6:30 and Friday traffic between LA and LB is always a challenge.

I can get down there- but I don't know about getting home.

I'm not going to make it since i'll be in Vegas seeing Bon Jovi that evening.

About 15 miles - so 10-30 minutes, depending on traffic.

Driving in- leaving Thursday early afternoon- should be there early Friday afternoon-planning on spending some time at the parks. After that would like to come to the cocktail party- provided it runs late enough to accomodate both. If not I will see everyone Saturday-

I imagine the party will run as long as there are still people there. How late are you talking?

Um, since you're staying here, why don't you just ride with us? We probably won't be leaving home until 8-8:30'ish, because I don't expect to roll into town until after 6.

That might work- though I may drive myself. That way if Rose gets iffy we can leave-or if she and I wanted to go commando on the park (no, not naked...storm trooper commando)-we could depart and go play more. Of course I am a crazy lunatic and after the drive I may just want to relax....after we play for a while...

I'd like to take this opportunity in this thread to say that Australian accents are hard to do. I had a hell of a time of it when the LashTrio was in town and watching the Australia episode of 'The Simpsons' it doesn't seem like any of them (except maybe Shearer) could do one very well either.

I don't think E and I will make it by 7, but I think we can make it.

When I tried to do an Ashtralian accent for the LashQuad a few years ago, I was told the resulting accent was South African.

So evidently I do a good South African accent, but not so hot Australian...

Nah, I spent the weekend with 2 random people.

I'm feeling much better today. The party is still on!

Please do not expect anything fancy, though. We lost most of our prep time. We'll have drinks and some basic food. If anyone wants to bring munchies to share, please do!

Thurston...is that the cute doggy who kept bringing me a stuffed Olive? I think I tried to kidnap him Sunday, but as soon as I said let's go see what your folks are doing he pulled me up the hill.

I don't know if I stated this earlier, but I am not going to be able to make it: I have to set up for the MS Walk the next morning. Even if we get done at a reasonable hour (which we usually aren't), I still have to get up at 4:00 the next morning.

Oooh, I hate you, just a little bit! I lost (stolen?) my bacon cubes and I ate all my tim tams.

Oops! We bought stuff for those too! I hope people like them!

Never too much bacony goodness.

We're bringing low-sodium V8 juice, instead of the regular tomato/bloody mary mix to see if it brings out the flavor better without being so salty. So, we can have a couple different types. :D

I'll also pre-mix the bacon bouillon and chill it, so it'll be a ready-made mix-in for all of them. :)

We bought bloody mary mix, vodka (lots of vodka!) and lettuce. We're thawing out our last pound of leftover Yosemite bacon... ;)

Jealousy.

I dunno, but I was at the first breakfast and we went through 3 cans of MRE bacon and each can had 50 slices in it. What does this tell you?

Want us to nix the vodka then? We hadn't picked that up yet. But, we're still bringing the V8 and pre-made bouillon.

For those early birds with whom we discussed a long gone attraction...here and here.

So glad everyone had a delightful time at the party. I had reservations about accomodating so many people in our bottlenecked living/dining room, but it seemed that the closeness of quarters only helped to stimulate the crowd.

Well, that and copious amounts of alcohol.
