Earthquake

Whooaaa, that felt like something far away and big. We didn't feel it "strongly" here, but what we did feel lasted a while, and was a lot of rocking motion.

Ghoulish Delight 04-23-2009 08:35 PM

According to Cal Tech, 4.0 in Yorba Linda, followed a minute later by a 3.9.

There was one around there around 5 today as well.

Morrigoon 04-23-2009 08:43 PM

Damn damn damn! I was driving and I didn't feel it! :(

Or if I did, I mistook it for road contours at the time. Small quakes are fun.

CoasterMatt 04-23-2009 08:45 PM

I thought one of the dogs farted.

wolfy999 04-23-2009 08:46 PM

I felt one today at around 5PM or so, then this one (not as strong). I finally felt both of them....woohoo! Hubby felt the latest one, Wolfette missed them both.

Prudence 04-23-2009 08:57 PM

7 months I've been here and I've not felt a thing. I think these are all make-believe.

wolfy999 04-23-2009 08:59 PM

It took Wolfette almost 11 years to feel one, and she was born here, so don't feel bad Pru.

Not Afraid 04-23-2009 09:04 PM

We didn't feel it! The LashPair didn't get a California Earthquake yet. Make it happen again!

JWBear 04-23-2009 09:09 PM

It started the chandelier in our breakfast nook swinging, but we didn't feel it. (we were sitting there wondering "Why is the chandelier moving?")

Morrigoon 04-23-2009 09:11 PM

They didn't get to feel it? Damn! I was hoping they'd enjoyed it :)

lashbear 04-23-2009 10:06 PM

I think it broke Indy. It was 101 around 5.

Morrigoon 04-23-2009 10:29 PM

Oh hell, a butterfly flapping its wings in the desert breaks Indy

RStar 04-23-2009 11:26 PM

I had a cat lying on my chest purring so unless it shakes the house I can't feel it.....

alphabassettgrrl 04-24-2009 12:10 AM

Wonder if this is related to the swarms of little quakes that have been on the San Andreas lately.

Yay to those who enjoyed it. Sad to those who missed it and wanted it. Hugs to those who had it and didn't enjoy it.

Morrigoon 04-24-2009 12:20 AM

Better a swarm of little ones than the opposite

alphabassettgrrl 04-24-2009 12:42 AM

I'm hoping that's what this means.

It could also be building to a big one. We'll have to see what Mother Nature has in store.

Betty 04-24-2009 06:38 AM

Didn't feel a damn thing in Corona.

Moonliner 04-24-2009 06:53 AM

All quiet here in Maryland.

BarTopDancer 04-24-2009 08:44 AM

Do not want!

I was in Anaheim and very very very glad I didn't feel it.
