The Lashpair's Plans for Friday Final Fling.

Just to let folk know, As the plan stood, The LashPair would have been playing with the Lot Family from 5pm in the park, until 7:30pm, when we would whizz orf to Ralphies to try and have dinner ordered, eaten and cheque paid by 8:40 (1 hour in the restaurant). We would have then dashed to the park to see the fireworks that we have never managed to see properly, despite having a 14-day Park Hopper.

We would have then had to leave immediately after the fireworks, (on the dot, no negotiations) and hiking our weary as$es to the Hojo's where we have to wake at 3:30am to be picked up at 4:30am and driven to the Airport, in time to check in for our very early International Flight.

We apologise in advance for any anti-socialness in our decision to not attend the dinner, but our personal preferance, to tell the truth (and we are going to be brutally honest here, and just a touch selfish), is that we'd much rather just bring sandwiches to the park and play with everyone from 5pm to 9pm in the park, see the fireworks, say our (very sad) goodbyes to everyone, and trot off into the southern hemisphere.

I hope everyone understands, but there is way too little time for dinner on the night, and a wonderful LoT dinner for Louis can still be had the following night (or any night after)

Again, apologies for the late notice, but we have been going over the timings time and time again tonight, and it would simply be too stressful a finish for a busy (but fun) holiday, and we had anticipated having seen the fireworks properly earlier.

We hate having to be like this, but it's been huge and needs to wind down gentler.

As is, the main part of the day is going to be an orgy of packing, calling airlines, checking things, finding things, culling things, washing clothes, organising and all sorts of business (and busyness). By 5pm we'll be ready and grateful for some Disney Magic.

All feedback welcome, however we are going to have to stand firm on our decision. We hope you can all respect that.

wendybeth 04-30-2009 11:47 PM

I'm sorry, but we have decided to not let you go. We'll work up a rotating custody schedule, and get back to you when we're finished fighting over it.

Disneyphile 05-01-2009 12:05 AM

Wendy, I've already told you that we get the entire summer. You can have them come fall, but you did promise to return them back to SoCal in time for Halloween festivities. Don't make me fight you! :p

Let the kidnapping plans commence!

(In seriousness, I totally respect and understand your plans, LB. It'll be cheaper too. ;) )

Strangler Lewis 05-01-2009 05:50 AM

As an out-of-town observer, I support whatever causes the most rancor.

Betty 05-01-2009 06:20 AM

Did you guys decide if you're going to have to drug them before the kidnapping? Now all you need to do is slip something in those sammwhiches and you'll be set.

Nephythys 05-01-2009 07:23 AM

Um, I demand a holiday with them.

In all seriousness-everyone will understand.

I will say my goodbyes here- I am so glad I got great hugs when I saw you last. You are dearly loved and are going to be much missed-you totally won over my daughter- she just thinks the world of you-just like I do.

Truly- I want you to know how special you are to us. I am sorry I did not get more time with you-but what we had was awesome.

Rose is literally counting down to your next visit-:)

Many hugs!

PS- and Stoat- I will make that appointment- and let you know how it goes.

LSPoorEeyorick 05-01-2009 07:26 AM

It's been a rough week, but I'm going to do my damnedest to be there tonight. I haven't had very much time with Bear and Stoat at all, and that's no good.

Snowflake 05-01-2009 08:55 AM

:(

Totally sad cheese.

Chernabog 05-01-2009 08:58 AM

I second the kidnapping idea.

Or the "LoT goes to Australia" idea. :D

Woe to my cheese too. :(

But I am so grateful that I did get to spend a day with you. Gracie still talks about it. She enjoyed you all so much.

It was a beautiful day, full of sunshine and buses. Thank you for it!

I look forward to the next time I see you.

Ghoulish Delight 05-01-2009 09:19 AM

There you go again, thinking that just because it's YOUR holiday YOU get to make the decisions. Will you never learn?

We will surely be joining y'all for as much of tonight's bittersweet adieu as we can.

keith - SuPeR K! 05-01-2009 09:41 AM

The LashPair are in America???

Snowflake 05-01-2009 09:50 AM

Prudence 05-01-2009 10:31 AM

We're planning to come to the park after the Rat's doc appointment so count us in! Corndogs all around!

There are some pretty good discounts on fares from LAX to Sydney right now. Just sayin'.

Cadaverous Pallor 05-01-2009 11:22 AM

Tonight
Tonight
Won't be just any night!

innerSpaceman 05-01-2009 11:39 AM

I don't know if I will make it. Friday rush hour means I likely wouldn't be there till 8:30. One Hour with the LashPair (assuming I find them immediately) - hmmm? .... maybe if I had a private audience ... because I am seriously sad with how little LashTime I've been privileged with.

A gaggle of people for an hour? Not sure if I'll make it. It's a soft maybe kinda.

Aren't you one of the people who's seen them the most?

Chernabog 05-01-2009 02:07 PM

Maybe we can learn how to clone them in the LoT commune.

Oh, I'm sure I've seen them more than some, living with them for a few days in Yosemite ... but I feel like I've hardly seen them at all. Didn't see nearly enough of them in Cambria. Since they've been here in L.A., I've seen them a grand total of once.

This has been quite a change from their last visit, one I did not expect, but events have a certain turn to them. Still, I'm a sad cheese at the way this time turned out, and I regret the connection we made last time did not pan out this visit nearly as well.

:( :( :( :( :(

I think that depends on how friendly you want to get. :)

SzczerbiakManiac 05-01-2009 02:43 PM

Please accept my apologies for being dense, but is there still a dinner tonight? I know the LashPair won't be there but are we still meeting dlrp_bopazot for to nosh? I haven't been able to glean what's for dinner? Unless someone can helicopter lift me when I get off work at 4:30 (we do have a helipad!), there's no way in hell I'll make it to The Park before 6:30.

wolfy999 05-01-2009 02:46 PM

I'm meeting Louis and anyone else who cares to arrive at JK at 7:45PM, since he (and possibly others) has no idea about the changes that have been made. Play it by ear from then on. Have NA's phone number of course, so I can find the rest of the troup.

Thank you for doing that !! I owe you a huge hug. :D

wolfy999 05-01-2009 02:55 PM

Which I will gladly take!

katiesue 05-01-2009 02:56 PM

Wish I could make it but sadly I'm stuck here with other things. Hope everyone has a wonderful time!

innerSpaceman 05-01-2009 03:03 PM

Day of Hospital Tests has messed me up. I'm not gonna make it.

Farewell Lashes, I barely knew thee.

Maybe we'll make up for it. I'll check those bargains to Australia. Hopefully, the worldwide depression will deepen.

oh.

wait.

Again, my apologies.

After my tests this afternoon, I find I have a serious pain in my right side ... but only if I move.

So I ain't goin' nowhere.

Bon Voyage Lashes.

Not Afraid 05-01-2009 06:25 PM

Getting drunk (or came previously prepared).

Well, not me.

Any speculation as to the cause?

I'm hoping nothing serious.

Withdraw the question

Not Afraid 05-02-2009 12:21 AM

That was a Very fun evening and everything worked out perfectly - except our kidnapping plans.

dlrp_bopazot 05-02-2009 01:22 AM

that was a great evening at the parks . Sorry for being a Zombie tonight but i hadn't slept for the last 24h plus the jetlag . Have a safe trip home to Australia.

A Bientot Bon Voyage .

madmonkeygirl 05-02-2009 09:37 PM

Louis it's ok you were jetlagged. Hopefully you get some rest so we can have fun this week. :)

Will miss the Lashpair deeply. And if Bon Jovi plays there again (not waiting yrs to do so but next tour) i'm seriously thinking of going over to see you guys and the band too while i'm there lol..since last tour we americans had the advantage of concert tickets since they were put up online in the middle of the night Australian time. HA!!!

It was fun and next trip we are kidnapping you for a couple of days to do Halloween stuff.
