This Just Blew My Mind! Wave.
This will effectively replace email, instant messaging, blogging, photo galleries, wikis, and pretty much any other kind of electronic communication.
Google Wave |
I tried to watch it but I got bored.
|
Meh.
|
Meh now... This is going to take over the web.

Sounds like vBulletin- The ADHD edition.
|
I agree; Meh...

I'm intrigued - seems like an easy to use wiki to me, which would be appreciated. I think people will have to play with this format a bit to see the true power - does it really replace all those other services, or will it be just another overlay? If you create them for various purposes is it easy to manage a number of "waves?" I'll be curious to see how it all plays out - and if there's an iphone version ;)

I'm still back here in the dark ages avoiding Twitter - but I know I can count on you eggheads here to pave the trail for Johnny-Come-Latelies like me.
|
I couldn't watch the whole 2 1/2 hr video. But what I saw sounds interesting.
|
I couldn't make it through the whole thing either, but I'm very intrigued. I'm not sure if it will replace everything, but it should.
Yes, it's like vBulletin in some ways. It's vBulletin-To-Go. Every email can act like a message board, a wiki, an i.m., and if importing/exporting things from and to the wave, and the wave itself to and from anywhere turns out to be as easy as they intend ... then, say it with me now, this will be the Wave of the Future! |
and, omg, keith .... you posted about this before anyone else did!
|
I read that Google is putting all its might behind this one, and that this is their attempt to truly take over, as it would involve everything we do on our computers, all the time.
Kinda freaky. |

I'm very interested to see how this plays out. Google has developed some really great interactive programs thus far.

Interesting note: This was invented by the people who created Google Maps! |

Also important to note: This team of developers left the Google Maps project after launch to start working on Wave. It's likely they didn't participate in the traffic integration. |
Actually, I like Sigalert.com.
