Access denied!

I guess I'll have to wait until I get home.

I wanted to like these... but I find them to be just depressing. Yeah, I know that the world is a cruel and real place - but that's the reason that fairy tales exist in the first place.

Into the Woods by Sondheim was at least a clever exploration - but these seem a little easy.

I love reading this next to your avatar ;)

Great find Betty!

innerSpaceman 06-18-2009 11:28 AM

Bizarre, but yeah, I dig them only in the most morbid way.

Hey, why hasn't Disney done Little Red Riding Hood?

Walt Disney himself did do Little Red Riding Hood, in 1922.

innerSpaceman 06-18-2009 11:49 AM

Well, I kinda meant as an animated feature, or even a short. They could even revive The Big Bad Wolf from 3 Wittle Pigs.

But Laugh-o-Grams is a little too primitive. Thanks for the link, tho. I'd never seen that.

mousepod 06-18-2009 11:56 AM

Yeah, I know what you meant. Thought you'd get a kick out of the short, though.

I pity Prince Charming. Snow White was a perfect little house wife before they married. She whistled while she worked as she cleaned up after 7 very messy men. Now she can't take care of 4 children? I call bait and switch.

innerSpaceman 06-18-2009 03:26 PM

How come she can't get the pug to help? Are pugs just like that (NA?), and she should have stuck with undomesticated animals?

Or is it, as more likely, once the Prince has had his way with her (and hence his lost interest), she can no longer cast her magic spell of innocent song over deer and turtles and birds ... and bees?

There's nothing to suggest that Snow isn't keeping a clean house and caring for the kids. I think she didn't expect this though. She had to slave away in service to her evil stepmother, and wished for a prince to take her away from that...

Even animals get sick of washing dishes and dusting things with their fuzzy tails.

innerSpaceman 06-18-2009 08:43 PM

Is it implied there's 3 more kids to go? Or are the Prince's tights too tight to produce any more viable, um, baby thingies?

blueerica 06-18-2009 09:19 PM

You know, despite any flack, I love this series.

Of course, I'm a sucker for flaws.

Betty 06-19-2009 07:39 AM

I think that since Snow is barefoot - she may also be pregnant again.

Love the hole in the Prince's tights too.
