Huntington Gardens - June 24th, 2009 (Photo Heavy)

Hi everyone!

Finally took my first trip to the Huntington on Wednesday, and wanted to share my pics with you all. Some have been transformed to digital art pieces by using various filters and effects, as noted. Please offer any feedback you might have! All photos were taken with my point-and-shoot Kodak P880.

Enjoy! :)

Cropped only:

This heron ordered take-out at the koi pond! (These are cropped only.)

Altered with filters and effects:

And the rest can be viewed at this link.

Great shots. Did you go into the library as well? That's where Pinkie and Blue Boy are!

Everyone standing nearby thought there was no way he could swallow it, but he did!

I have some low-quality video of it. Just need to compress and upload it still.

Here's the video clip of the heron swallowing the koi.

My favorite is the very first one. Something about the texture and the bee. Love it. They are all quite nice though.

Wow- that was fast on the heron's part!

Thanks. :)

I'm quite proud of that one, mostly for a very silly, yet triumphant reason -

I am VERY phobic of insects, but for some reason I was able to get close to that bee and wasn't at all bothered by him. And, I can even look at the picture without freaking out. (Usually my skin crawls upon viewing even photos of insects.)
