i need your Help !!!! Travel advice !

Every month i usually go somewhere in Europe for really cheap .

Where would you go between : London , Porto in Portugal , Barcelona in Spain , Dublin in Ireland ?

Disneyphile 10-10-2009 01:31 AM

For me, I would pick London or Dublin, even though I've never been to either.

Barcelona is gorgeous though.

But, from the stories I've heard from friends' travels to Dublin, I think that would be my first pick. :)

Morrigoon 10-10-2009 01:46 AM

London because it's my favorite city in the world, or Dublin because I've never been and would love to go (technically I haven't been to the other two, but Dublin tops the list).

If you go to London though, you could see a musical :) Half price ticket booth is your friend (I forget if it's in Leicester Square (pronounced Les'-ter) or Trafalgar Square, but I'm sure any tourist info place could tell you)

Barcelona looks beautiful, but if the movies I've seen are reliable, it's a breeding ground for overly intellectualized romantic entanglements.

SzczerbiakManiac 10-10-2009 08:50 AM

London, for the theatre, because I'm a showtunes queen. (ergo biased)

Tref 10-10-2009 09:37 AM

Just stay home. Is there nothing good on TV?

CoasterMatt 10-10-2009 10:45 AM

Barcelona! Port Aventura FTW!

wolfy999 10-10-2009 10:46 AM

Dublin....The Irish people are the best!

If you have the chance to visit a different place each month, then maybe start at the top of the list and go from there each month. Or, maybe do a little research and see if the cities and areas you want to visit hold any festivals, special events, etc. and then you can get the opportunity to both enjoy a seasonal activity and see the rest of the area.

How lucky you must be to have the opportunity to travel throughout Europe each month! :)

Of course having visited London, it holds a spacial place in my heart, as does Paris for the same reason. So, how could I choose any other place than London?

But it's going to come down to what you think you would enjoy!

dlrp_bopazot 10-12-2009 12:12 PM

well i might go to Portugal ! I'll know this by the end of the month .

You obviously weren't forced to watch one of those stupid Cheetah Girls movies.

alphabassettgrrl 10-12-2009 02:13 PM

Well, I guess I'll have to google them. I've never heard of those places.

Have fun! I'll be watching for pictures and updates on your Facebook page!

CoasterMatt 11-03-2009 04:09 PM

I've been to Oslo, but not Corsica. When I went to Norway, we took a neat side trip and saw the mountains that were filmed for the Hoth scenes in Empire Strikes Back.

CoasterMatt 11-03-2009 04:11 PM

Finse, Norway is the place to head, if you're looking for Hoth, btw- the Hardangerjøkulen Glacier to be more precise.

Haha! My husband speaks Swedish. When he swears he says something Swedish that sounds a lot like Get the hell out of the supermarket.
