I'm an Omniped!

I had foot surgery yesterday to remove a section of nerve that had a mass (refered to as a "Neroma" in the med feild). The Dr said it was the biggest mass that he has ever seen and he has done thousands of these operations in his 30+ years of private practice.

I cannot step down on my foot. so I'm hopping around like lindy ;) and using crutches like vicodine and beer ( ;) again). It it quite painfull!!

I'm off from work for at least 4 weeks. While I'm looking forward to the time away from work, I'm not looking forward to half my pay from dissability....

I'm sorry, it doesn't sound like a lot of fun.

Stay off the foot and be careful on the crutches, they can take some getting used to.

So what are you going to do with all your copious free time you seem to have on your hands ;)

Here's to a speedy recovery!

Plenty of time on your hands,
Half the time on your feet.

Sorry, I had to go there.

Wishing you speedy recovery and lots of sympathy - get everyone running around for you - I suggest a little bell by your chair. :D

Make it a big bell....hearing tends to fail during the recovery period of those around you.

I already have a plan for that one. I'm doing a bunch of stuff that is time consuming, yet can be done sitting down. Like transfering 8mm home movies from when I was a kid (yes, I'm THAT old!), making photo books of our trip to Club 33, and finally getting my bills set up online at my bank so I can pay them all online at one sitting.

I hope your healing process goes quickly! It sounds like you have some good plans to keep you busy between naps.
