Found: Apple iPhone G4
 

Oops. An Apple software engineer went out drinking on his 27th birthday...and managed to leave behind a prototype next generation iPhone. Gizmodo got hold of it, dissected it, reported on it. By the time they got their hands on it, the phone had already been wiped remotely, so no details on software changes, but they've got the hardware changes.

There's apparently been some backlash, as they outed the name of the offending engineer, and perhaps some money changed hands in either the receiving of the phone, or the returning of the phone to Apple or something or other. I honestly not interested enough in that flap to delve for details.
