Sink hole be damned!

Someone posted this link on MiceChat. They've drained the sub lagoon, and yet the Matterhorn still stands (or someone's done a clever bit of digital photography to cover up the embarassing collapse)!

For some reason this is really giving me the creeps. I never wanted to see the lagoon sans water, just as I can't really stomach the idea of seeing what Space Mountain looks like with the lights on. It's a weird phobia, but honestly, it freakin' creeps me out. Wrongs my world. Wrongs my world!

Agreed. That is wrong on so many levels. Though I have ridden Space Mountain with the lights on, I never wanted to see an empty lagoon.

If you'll notice, there are now several cables attached to the matterhorn directly opposite the Sub lagoon. Now some folks believe these are for Tinkerbell's flight, but honestly how many cables does Tinkerbell need?

The real answer is that these cable were put in place to hold the Matterhorn up during this rather delicate opperation, hence the extra cables. Climber are also out daily to monitor movement of the mountain.

I wonder if they found anything interesting in the drained lagoon?

Ghoulish Delight 04-19-2005 04:54 PM

The water is clear, so there's less chance than there was in the ROA for things to be lurking unnoticed.
