Dates to save - lots of stuff coming up!

I've been really busy doing quite a bit of creative stuff. I'm having a blast! There are events coming up that I'd like to invite all of you to - so pencil me in if you're available.

November 6
Noche de Altares, 4th and Birch St, Santa Ana

Expecting over 8,000 in attendance, the 8th Annual Noche de Altares festival will be the largest Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration in Orange County! The event takes place on Saturday, November 6th, 2010 from 1:00pm to 10:00pm in the heart of downtown Santa Ana on 4th Street between Ross & Broadway Streets.

I've designed some Day of the Dead jewelry and hair ornaments that I'll be selling. I'm sharing a booth with my pastry chef friend who makes awesome sugar skulls.

Patchwork Indie Arts and Crafts Festival
November 21 - Long Beach
November 28 - Santa Ana

I'm going to be in BOTH shows this year! I'm super excited as this is the BEST Indie craft fair ever! I've got some new stuff in the works too. I've been having fun!

Art Exhibition:
The Urban Pet Experience
December 11, 2010 – February 5, 2011
Sipology Village
448 E. Broadway
Long Beach, CA 90802
Opening Reception: December 11.

This is the first show in a series of curating jobs I've got coming up. The exhibit will feature over 70 pieces that relate the experience of pets in the city.

Oh, and then there's the matter of New Years Eve..........

Why? What's the matter with New Year's eve?

You left off a VERY IMPORTANT date!

LSPoorEeyorick 10-18-2010 01:05 PM

Aww, that's not Lisa's date, though. : )

Lisa, I'm especially excited to see your curating! I've long thought that would be a terrific gig for you, what with your background and taste.

Hey, I'm just trying to keep my own life straight at the moment. With all of this stuff going on - plus a vacation over Thanksgiving and a supposed Jury Duty date and a NYE party to plan, I'm a bit crazy. I just wanted everyone here to know about some fun activities going on that you can join in on and that I happen to be involved in.

But you are a bit crazy even without all that stuff. That's why we love you!

The theme should be Zombie New Year! Everyone dressed as zombies.

But that's the theme for New Year's Day! But instead of brainz we're in search of coffee and bacon.
