Walt's Barn, Griffith Park, Sun. Jan 16th I plan to visit Walt's Barn at the LA Live Steamers in Griffith Park on Sunday the 16th. Barn's open from 11-3, so I'll probably go around noon. Anybody care to join? |

This is this coming Sunday! :) I'd love to make a day of it, perhaps add a picnic at the Old Zoo or something. |
I know I'm far away, but I'll be there in spirit. Walt's Barn is great! |
I do want to make it there sometime but it won't be this weekend. Sorry :( |
Sorry if weather is nice I have other plans (in memory of my sister's father in law death anniversary memorial) at the dog beach. |
I shall be there! Also, there's drag queen bingo that night for anyone that is interested :) |
Cherny: wanna add a picnic lunch at the Old Zoo? |
Okay, so it looks like it's me, Joe & BJ. If anybody else is planning/thinking of coming, please let us know so we keep you informed of any "extracurricular" activities we might be engaging in in the area. |

A few pictures from yesterday: Ollie Johnston's Depot Plans for Walt's Barn Last remaining intact piece of track from Walt's railroad. Awesome presentation. Switch system designed for Walt at the studio machine shop, predecessor to the system that run's DL's trains today. A picture of Walt and Lillian that you don't see all that often. One of the live steamers passing through Cherny and BJ (with Buck) The Combine, mid-restoration. The society are working to build a structure to protect it, so they don't have to keep it tented. Obviously they're still raising the funds to cover it. A miniature roundhouse for miniature trains |

Great pics. Looks to me like they modeled ToonTown depot after Ollie Johnston's, no? |
