We watched a lot of last year's via live streaming on Facebook. It was both awesome and heartbreaking, but I was glad I got to have even that tiny tiny taste.

Yeah, this year was so out of the question in so many ways, but I'll still miss being there, heat, art, and all. Will probably tune in to this at times during the weekend.

:( Maybe they had more earlier in the day when they weren't trying to squeeze headliners in, but I haven't seen any video of general wandering around the grounds, which they had last year. A shame.

Indeed, I think in some ways that's what I miss most, the monumental interactive art, the people there, the Do Lab - sigh - and the late night retreat to the house with pool & jacuzzi...

One thing I did a lot last year was spend time at a site like PicFog.com with a search for Coachella. It's a live search of photos from all the various twitter photo sites. Great way to get a visual feel of the flow of the day, see the art. There are similar sites for videos too. I watched the main stage burn in near real time that way last year.

Oh, and ask and you shall receive. Channel 1 is currently showing artwork vids.

While lamenting at what you're missing... it took my friends 7 hours to get out there and set up yesterday.
