My Aunt is walking across Spain

Although I wouldn't undertake this myself, I think this is very cool. My Aunt, MJ (MaryJane), is walking across Spain with her sister. (They were estranged for many many years and recently reconnected.)

The trip is just starting and she's blogging about it as they go. It will take them - I think she said - 6 or 7 weeks to finish.

Want to check it out and follow along? http://walknwomen.blogspot.com/

Is there a reason they are doing this? Sounds cool.

Sort of. Her words from the blog: "For my sister, who finally escaped the purgatory of a 20 year abusive marriage, and myself, this medieval walk will be our time to heal and reconnect."

MJ and my Uncle lived in Spain for a few years maybe 10-12 years ago when they worked for HP. In fact - they got married there now that I think about it.

So - "reconnect" and fun and sightseeing? As a goal to acheive I suppose. Not my cup of tea but I'm looking forward to watching. If I remember right, they are going to take it nice and slow and stop many places along the way to sight see.

This sounds like a perfect vacation "getaway."

Are they staying mainly in the plain?

That does sound cool!

I'm surprised there are no MaryJane jokes here though. Kevy must be loosing his touch.....

;)

I think I will be following them! I book marked the blog so I can check in.

I hope not, for I hear it might rain.
