The Healthy Hedonist
 

Yesterday I was looking through Vegetarian Times magazine, and happened to read the line at the end of a section about throwing a spring fiesta (Cinco de Mayo, American Style).

It said, "Myna Kornfeld, author of The Healthy Hedonist, likes to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with an array of delicious dishes that highlight the sizzling flavors of Mexico."

Naturally, I thought of the LoT. If anyone needs to know of the existence of a cookbook called The Healthy Hedonist. It's you guys. Here's the link.

If that's not enough, it turns out that someone else used the same title for another book.

Hmmm, you know the other day I realized that Thomas Jefferson's preamble to the Declaration of Independance, clearly articulated the "the pursuit of happiness" was one of our inalienable rights.

Ours is a nation of hedonists, I think we do a dishonor to our founding fathers by ignoring that fact. So lets get out there and pursue some happiness today, collect those hedons, and rejoice in the knowledge that this is what it is to be an American.

I think we need a hedon smilie. But, what would a hedon look like?
