Is Disneyland needing more tourists ?

They'er bombarding us at the moment (in Sydney, at least) with an Aussie version of the "Laugh Louder" ad

Business must be dropping... it's been YEARS since I've seen a DL ad on telly.

Is there a possible issue with the down under crowd avoiding Tokyo this season?

innerSpaceman 05-05-2011 03:57 PM

Yes, Disneyland needs more tourists from Down Under.

Two, to be precise. ;)

I imagine so - but the ad was specifically for DLR in Anaheim. I wish we could just teleport there. Someone get Sir Richard Branson onto it, please.

He's too busy trying to charge you $200,000 for a very brief trip into space.

That's my point. If the tourists are avoiding the Tokyo properties, then Disney wants them to come to DLR. Thus the ad push.

They just want your money, They just want your consciousness...

Or.....is it because the royals are honeymooning in California and they figure the Aussies will want to go see where they vacation.

Moonliner 05-06-2011 08:51 AM

Given that the ads came out before the public announcement regrading the royal visit to SoCal the DLR brass would have had to use advanced knowledge of the visit to create an international marketing plan.

I really can't see them being that callously opportunistic.

Yeah, I could see them doing that.
