D23 tomorrow!

OK... so it looks like CoasterMatt can't make it, so I still have one extra (free) ticket for D23 tomorrow. We bought a pair so Heather and I could go together, but she actually has to work both days (yuck). So... any LoT interest before I go to Facebook?

What time? I'm suddenly free - but not for the whole day. Are you going early? Would it be ok if I cut out at 3 or so? If you're looking for someone to spend the whole day there with, that's fine by me if I get passed over. It's supposed to be very "reduced" this year, so I don't think it could sustain my interest for a whole day anyway. Let me know. No biggie for me either way.

It's yours, iSm. The Studios presentation runs from 10:30 to 1:00. Should be fun 'n' star-studded and 3-D etc etc.

innerSpaceman 08-19-2011 11:38 AM

I may have to cut out early on that, tho. Because the thing that looks most interesting to me is the one-hour thing with Michael Giaccino, staring at 1:00. I wonder how early I'd have to line-up to get a into that presentation. Hmmm.

That one looks good to me, too.

innerSpaceman 08-19-2011 02:23 PM

Good. 'Cause I want to spend time with YOU.

I'm gonna park in the Structure and walk over to the convention center. Meet out front? (Is there a "front?") What time? Somewhere else? There? When? How? :D

Apparently my friend Haydee is working in the Archive Treasures area... say hi for me if you guys see her :)

RStar 08-19-2011 10:37 PM

I'll be there tomorrow myself. I plan about 9-3 myself.

I'll tell Haydee that Morrigoon says hi! :D

If another Saturday ticket shows up, I'd like to buy it. I went on Friday, after my farmer's mkt., looked around, made mental notes of the things I wanted to see, and got in line for The Voices of the Parks panel. Didn't get in, too many people. Then headed towards Dick Van Dyke's presentation. Sorry, full up. TWO HOURS BEFOREHAND. So, it being my friend Rick's birthday, I headed back up to L.A. to have dinner with him and friends, where I read later on twitter that Saturday's D23 is sold out! WTF? No announcements, nothing! How the hell do you sell out the Anaheim Convention Center? Needless to say, I'm seriously pissed off. They're running this thing like one of their badly organized merch events in Disneyland. The venues are too small, the waits are too long, and fans are being taken for granted/treated like the cash cows they are.

I have a ticket (thanks, Wolfy!) to go again on Sunday afternoon, after my mkt, but am unlikely to get there in time to see the 1:30 presentation on Cars Land. Tomorrow is an Imagineering panel, Michael Giacchino, Pixar, and Buena Vista Street. You know, the good stuff.

Fvckem. Fvckem real hard.

Done for the day. Saw what I wanted to see. Bought what needed buying. Probably not going back tomorrow.

So... I have a PAIR of tix for Sunday if anyone is interested.
