Happy Anniversary Former Padders
 

Ten years ago today a number of you joined me at the park to celebrate my 40th birthday. Who knew that would be such a defining moment for myasthenia decade. I made some really good friends a d am delighted that many of you continue to hang out (or lurk) here. Cheers to you all and thanks for coming out to play.

I was not there that day, too shy to meet people I didn't know. I'm so glad I got over it.

My mom said to me, "How can you have a friend who is turning 50?" (no doubt she had an image of me as a toddler in her head as she asked it) to which I replied, "Well, when we met him 10 years ago he was turning 40 so...."

That was definitely a life-changing day at Disneyland. I can't imagine how different the last 10 years would have been, and I can't imagine them having turned out much better.

May the next 10 continue to baffle my imagination.

I am wearing a tutu right now in honor of that day.

It wasn't quite today, but I DID meet you 10 years ago in the park (thanks to Dan spotting you). So that counts. :D

Alas, it would be a little more time before I personally joined the group (our coming out was a Singles meet that Disneyphile threw).

Thank you for having a 40th birthday, and thank you to Lisa for deciding that it should be spent with us.

It has been a real trip getting to know all of you, and even getting to meet some of you in person!
