The Secret Feast of Father Christmas

My first-ever novel should be on sale by the end of the week. In the meantime, you can read the first three chapters here if you like.

Also, I finally launched my writing website yesterday. I'll be tinkering with it plenty, but I've posted a story about my time with WDI.

Full congratulations on the first full novel. I will be reading it soon.

Is there an intended audience? Adults/Kids/teens?

I don't have to worry "The Secret Feast of Father Christmas" is a Soylent Green type thing do I? (although that could be kinda cool...)

The book is labeled as Young Adult, and is aimed at thoughtful readers 12 and up. I suspect it will mean more to grown-ups than to younger readers, though I hope a broad age range will enjoy it.

I've been getting a lot of cannibal and zombie jokes, and because the front cover has a reindeer on it, many have asked if the deer gets eaten. No. Venison is not on the menu, and horror buffs will be severely disappointed. Maybe for the sequel, though.

Ahh, yeah I could see that connection, "secret feast" venison. I wonder if flying reindeer rump roast tastes different than normal reindeer rump roast.

No flying reindeer in my book. Father Christmas, yes. Santa Claus, no.

I can't wait to find out what people think.
