My newest food discovery was delicata squash, roasted with a little chopped bacon and maple syrup, OMFG it was good!

I tried the bourbon brine recipe for the turkey this year. Sounded good in theory but made no noticeable difference to the final product vs the normal brine bag sans booze.

The idea of a family trip to WDW was bandied about so there might be that to look forward to late in the Summer.

The idea was to drink the bourbon while making the brine, while the turkey was cooking, and while eating the turkey. At that point, there is a huge difference.
