Disneyland Cone Shop Is History
My Imagineering friend who is designing the new arcade for Main Street confirmed that the Cone Shop in Disneyland will longer operate and will later be removed when construction of the new arcade begins.
Farewell Cone Shop :( |
Aww - If I had an AP I'd go to the park and get a mint chip ice cream sandwich
|
They're going to build an arcade? I bet parades doesn't like that...
|
I'd heard that part of the space was going to be utilzed as a passage to the new passage behind Main Street for the exit durring parades.
|
Well, the damn place was rarely open anyways - at least whenever I was in the mood for a cone and checked. I'm just curious how the Cone Shop can be tied in to the Arcade though considering they are on opposite sides of the Main Street
|
The Cone Shop is gone? Meps! Meps!
|
No!!!!! Frellity Frell. Oh well, my AP expires in November. I'm not renewing. Unless I experience yet another Disneyland renaissance (not impossible, but unlikely), I will be visiting far less frequently.
When does Arcade construction start? |
There was a cone shop on main street?
|
All the good ice cream has been disappearing from the DLR. First Catch a Flave, now The Cone Shop.
Up next: No More Popcorn! |
Considering that DL just serves the exact same ice cream I can eat at home, I rarely bother. And that place was hardly ever open so most of the times I decided I wanted something there it ended in disappointment.
So, I say no more ice cream at Disneyland until they put in a Humphrey Slocombe or Bi-Rite. Or maybe a small parking lot since everybody whined about missing the parking lot at Disneyland. |
