Sherlock season 3

Astounding fabulous! That's all I'm saying. What fun!
I hope pbs does not trim any of it as they did with Endeavor.

Sherlock starts this next Sunday, after Downton Abbey (which I have given up on). I loved episode 1, not sure I quite got episode 2 until I saw episode 3.

While we're talking, well I am, UK television. Has anyone heard any buzz on when PBS is planning to air the last Poirot episodes?

I see The Bletchley Circle has a second season on UK tv right now. Also, for the Mr. Darcy (Pride and Prejudice) fans, P.D. James book Death Comes to Pemberley has been filmed. I hope Masterpiece picks that up, as well.

Oh Death comes to Pemberly..........love PD James.

I've been watching random stuff on Acorn, thank you for that tip Snow. I need to work on the BBC direct thing.

BBC iplayer is great. I had hoped for itv too, but the itvplayer blows (endless rebuffering) makes watching anything impossible.

the PBS app on my roku does the same with the endless rebuffereing.

I had this issue with Acorn, as well. If you have an option to change the playback settings to medium, might fix it.

Thanks!

Really looking forward to new Sherlock!

I think I've also given up on Downton Abbey. I was eagerly awaiting its return .... but upon watching the first episode of the new season, I was reminded what I hate about the show. The way it deals with having 38 characters to follow is to time each and every scene at 20 seconds. 20 seconds, next - then 20 seconds, next - repeating endlessly - with a large crowd scene taking up to 60 seconds every once in a blue. It's numbing. Buh-bye.

I'm still taping Downton but not looking forward to it. I'll watch it when I run out of other things.
