Happiest Faces on Earth... FOUND!

I decided to take my nephew and sister into the park after work on Wed. to finally see the fireworks, which were even more amazing than I could even have imagined! We waited for the crowds to thin down before we made our way to the front gate and then I glanced toward the tour guide gardens and saw the "Happiest Faces on Earth" kiosk. I had to see where my photos were used, and I was getting a bit impatient waiting for the e-mail from Disney, so I made a print out and we checked out the "Steamboat Willie / Castmembers" collage (since most of the pictures I submitted wound up in that photo collage).

After about 20 or so minutes of searching in low light using a cell phone for illumimation, my nephew jokingly pointed to a spot and said, "there's one!... JUST KIDDING!" We laughed it off and looked a little more. Again, he decided to joke around and pointed a little bit off of where my sister was looking and said, "there's one." He looked at where he was pointing and exclaimed, "OH! IT REALLY IS ONE!". My sister gave him a look and said, "Yeah right!" but looked anyway, and it was! It was a photo I had with my nephew when he was 5 years old that we had with Timon during the Cast Member Christmas party.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to find the other pictures that were in that photo collage since the pictures are nearly an inch square and there are so many of them. I might have better luck looking for 2 other pictures in 2 other photo collages. On of them is in the shoulder of Mr. Incredible in the Incredibles photo collage (most likely in DCA. I haven't seen it yet). The other one is of Ally and me and it is located in Flik's antennae in the Bug's Life photo collage. I am going to have to make a trip into DCA and have a look! Hey Ally! You should join me on that hunt for our picture! :) ;)

Very cute story, but my eyes are stinging from the text color...

I feel your pain, but I did a SELECT ALL and it helped somewhat.

Ok, ok. Note to self, black is the new black, and most folks don't dig big fonts.

There's a kiosk outside of City Hall. Just put your name or email address in and it will tell you which mural your pictures are in, and give you a pretty accurate spot on the mural (e.g., "Buzz's left shoulder").

I'm in Buzz's Face. Kinda hard to find, unfortunantly.

Ah. That's the unfortunate thing about the high up ones.

Speaking of which, last night we finally saw one of the coolest ones. It's on on the Monorail station side of Club Buzz, way up high. It's also humongous. I'll try to get NA to post a pic later, as we didn't have our camera with us.

I was really impressed with the murals that I saw on Tuesday. They did a really good job on those.

I was really happy to find out that mine made it on "Steamboat Willie" on Main St. That is, until I went over there to find not only that the individual pics are only about .5", but that mine is located all the way at the top right corner, which is mostly covered with the curtain. Even with a high-powered telescope, I won't be able to see mine. :(

I'm definitely bringing a magnifying glass next time. I almost went blind searching Steamboat Willie last week! At least my picture is supposedly in an accessible spot on that one. I didn't go searching for the others yet, it was too crowded.
