Squirrely ponderings

So .. since a great many of the squirrel clique are here... I have to know...
Uva... where did you find your squirrel?
I seem to remember you dont have them on your part of the globe.
Did you see one in person and I missed it? Are you an official , bona fide member of the clique??? ;)

I got him from this great resource: http://www.scarysquirrel.org/It's totally worth checking out - I love it:)

And yes, I saw many squirrels on my recent Stateside sojourn - all in NYC. We spent ages in Central Park watching them, and when we got back we were mortified to discover that we have about 30 squirrel photos and 1 squirrel video:D Obsessed much?

Alas, I am still yet to see a Chipmunk. Or a Marmot, for that matter. I live in hope:)

I love squirrels.

I have a group of squirrel friends I like to hang out with when I'm up the coast. I bring them peanuts. They really like me. :D

Ken grabbed a photo of me sitting there hand-feeding them last summer. I need to find it. One was perched on my lap. :D

I have never seen a Marmot.. so dont hold your breath.
Scary squirrel... I love scary squirrel.... thats where DP's grenade wielding squirrel came from too..... and one of mine I think.

Oh please my dear squirrel friend.. never be afraid of a roll of squirrel pictures.. I trust that if and when I ever see a live wombat I'll use at least 30 pictures on him.

We wont talk about how many squirrel and groundhog or prairie dogs pics I have.

I won't lie - wombats are cool. I always take photos of wombats if I'm in Australia. I also quite like Echidnas and Platypuses (Platypi?), even if they are a little strange evolution-wise. However, I really, really want to see a Beaver. They just sound so cool and industrious (and cute).

Someone fill me in on the squirrel dealie-o. I'm out of the mix on this one.
???

Oh, I'll take any of those three... a live platypus.... *sighs* that'll be the best day of my life. :D They're like experiments gone ary. I'll name my Stitch.
Beavers... eh.. they're cute. Not quite as cute as squirrels. Next time... I'll find you a beaver. You have to see at least one.

The squirrel clique? Hmm.... *Fellow members of the squirrel clique do not be offended, I love you all*
I think it boils down to:
Us chicks love small furry woodland creatures
Squirrels are cute
Squirrels have MAJOR personality...
umm... and we've had a thing for squirrels since.. wow... MP?

Any thoughts DP?

Squirrels are just plain fun.

They eat from our hands.
Some like to be pet.
Some will even sit on your lap.
Some will even **** their head to the side as if listening intently while you talk to them.
And they're hilarious to watch - it's quite a good laugh to see them cracking peanuts and stuffing their cheeks SO full and then trying to cram the last one in.

:D

Edited to add: I can't believe the word filter covered up "****", when it was meant as a VERB. :p From www.dictionary.com: "A tilting or jaunty turn upward: the **** of a hat."
