My God. I've wanted to visit Cedar Point for years...seems that place keeps getting better and better.

During our trip this past spring we were within a few miles of Cedar Point, but it wasn't open yet. Even from a distance, the coasters looked way cool. :snap:

Monty Jasper is quite a neat guy - if you get him started talking about the coasters, sometimes he sounds kind of like a mad scientist. A lot of people just talk about the big coasters at Cedar Point, but they have some really neat smaller (older) coasters that are just plain fun, as well as some great flat rides including one of only 3 remaining Derby Racer rides - think of a caroussel with no poles, and a wider platform that spins much faster than normal. Cedar Point has some of the best operations seen anywhere, with crews that are focused on safety and efficiency.

Oh yeah, I guess there are some coaster geeks around here :D

I do so love coasters, but unfortunately traveling around to ride the cool ones isn't something I've ever had the chance to do. Cedar Point is at the top of my list visit someday.

Growing up in Michigan, we had few choices in parks. I was always grateful when I came to Southern California to visit my relatives, because I'd get a pretty good fill of them. However, growing up in Michigan meant the occassional class/Girl Scout/you-name-it trip to Sandusky, Ohio... OH YEAH!!!

God, I miss Cedar Point!!!

I might actually be able to make a Cedar Point meet.

Let me know if you guys are doing Cedar Point... it's not TOO far from Chicago.
