I'm hate myself and I think I'm going to be ill

I just ruined my baby. :(

4 years we've lived at this apartment and it's finally happened. Our parking space is under a carport, right next to a support. Pulling in today, I succesfully navigated so the side mirror missed the support...unfortunately I apparantly then turned just a little too far because my right rear side caught the large bolt at the bottom of the support.

F*ck F*ck F*ck F*ck F*ck F*ck

Both the rear door and the rear quarter panel are damaged. They MIGHT be able to do a cosmetic repair on the door (but probably not). But the quarterpanel will have to be replaced. I can see the damaged fiberglass.

I'd take a picture, but just looking it right now makes me sick.

This will probably be about $1000 worth of repair.

I need a drink.

You are a stupid ass. How could you do that to the poor creature that trundles you around wherever you like to go, that enables you to get to work, to do the job, to get the pay, to repair the baby that you injured so recklessly (or is that wreckfully?).... ugh, what a worthless human being you are!

The same thing happened to me last weekend. Mine was more of a hit and run, but the result is the same. I was angry and pissed off at everything, but then somebody close to me reminded me that it is just a car. Nothing more. Just a meaningless symbol of your status in society and the workplace.

Have that drink ... but then put your anger aside and don't let it sink your weekend.

I decided to use the damage to my motor vehicle as an excuse to order a big sloppy pizza and rent a bunch of movies.

I'll get over it. I'm still not happy about it. This car is only a year old, I've taken meticulous care of it. Now I have to decide whether cosmetic damage is worth the expense. It's pretty bad, I don't see being able to do nothing. But if it can just be painted over, leaving the dents it would save a ton of money...but I wouldn't feel happy about it. And considering the amount of time I end up spending in my car, it's part of my mental well being to be happy about my car.

Ouch! I feel for you. I think I would feel exactly the same as you do. That just really sucks.

:(

That sucks. The thing that really sucks is that the damage is so little it's hardly worth using insurance cause it will up your rates too much, but forking out a grand sucks too.

Probably should do it the right way though or it will haunt you forever.

I stopped caring about the condition of my car(s) when I had my first kid. If I hadn't, I'd be looney by now.

Pisser about the car GD. I HATE it when that happens. This is just the kind of thing that happens when you are tired and bummed already (post-50th blues).

I hadn't driven my "padawan" in so long that our local dove built a nest on top of it. When I last backed out of the carport I dislodged her egg. I wish it had been my bumper, 'cause that was one sad li'l omelette. :(

Lol, Scaeagles- me, too! I bought my car, then had a baby a year later. I went from vacuuming it daily to picking Happy Meal debris from last fall out from under the seats.
