The Annual Gay Day Controversy

Here it comes again. Gay Day at Disneyland. October 1, 2005. RedHeaven.

It's a message board tradition to have a controversial thread about the merits and detriments of Gay Day. But, well, on this board there's just not likely to be the type of homophobia and gaybashing that makes for an exciting thread.

So what are we gonna get controversial about? Should gays go flaunting their sinful homosexuality in the wholesomeness of the Happiest Place on Earth?

Why do gays need a day at Disneyland? Isn't it enough that every day is a gay day at Disneyland?

How can Disney allow this type of thing at the Magic Kingdom?!? Why do they sponsor this tasteless insult to normal family life year after tiresome year?

And why, oh why is Red the color of gay that day? Don't they know how horrible most people look in red? And what about the unsuspecting Angels fans who get caught in the web of queer? This is just a way for Disney to sell more blue Mickey Mouse T-shirts that day, isn't it?

* * * * * *

Well, since we're not the right community to be arguing about any of that stuff (though please feel free if the mood takes you), the only thing left in the realm of controversy is .....

What's innerSpaceman's Gay Day Shirt gonna say this year?!?!?!!!!

It's a cherished gay day tradition for innerSpaceman to wear a somewhat risque shirt that says "Gay" and "Disneyland" in an amusing yet slightly disturbing style. But no one knows what this year's shirt is going to be.

And so we are pleased to announce the start of the Annual innerSpaceman GayDay Shirt Slogan Contest!

Just come up with a simple slogan that combines the elements of Gay and Disneyland, and post your ideas in this thread.

In past years, innerSpaceman has worn the classic I Got Rear Ended on Autopia

And then there was the attention-getting Monstro Swallows

What'll it be this year? What can follow those two tasteless, but funny, red shirts? Submit your entries to this thread.

Winners will have the pride and satisfaction that goes with innerSpaceman getting repeatedly hit on - - because of the shirt!!

So keep those cards and ideas coming, and You may see Your Slogan embarrassingly emblazoned across innerSpaceman's chest this coming GayDay!

Ooh! A contest!

Howzabout "I've been in Uncle Walt's Rainbow Caverns"?

Alice Does Wonderland :D

Updating my other submission from last year: "I Got Rear Ended on California Screamin'"

Damn, everything I'm coming up with right now is a little too over the top (or lame). Like, "Fagtasmic!" or "Buzz Blasted My ASStro" (yes, that's the lame one).

"The Happiest Homo Coming* on Earth"

I agree. I think we ALL need T-Shirts like that.
