It's the Little Things
I've been thinking about all the little exchanges that go on between friends and, even though small, are so incredibly wonderful. They seem to stick with me for ever and always make me smile.
Two examples: My "surprise" Tea package from Matterhorn Fan. She sent it as a thank you for sending some artwork to her, but it is me that has to thank her for introducing me to the most wonderful teas, suggesting I have a cup while we were talking (and I was spazzing out), and being together while I had my first cup of deliciousness. The "ER" visit from KevyBaby last year. I was sick with a 102 fever for a week. I was delerious and out of it.....and I was alone. Chris was in Chicago. Kevy came over and brought me healing food from Katella Deli. I swear it really helped fight that damned fever. And, now, whenever I hear of someone having a fever, I think of Kevy's kindness. So, share your "little things". Makes us all smile. |
My husband put a lovey note in my lunch today, along with one of "his" chocolates from Victoria so I'd have a lunchtime treat.

Bailey hid a picture under my pillow today. It had a big star on it and said "Mom, you make me happy. Love, Bailey"

Yesterday, I had a little thing convergence: 1) Mousepod posted a particularly delightful "theme" for me in the soundtrack thread and 2) While I was listening to it, Not Afraid made me a faux-cocktail in a martini glass - it was sudden unexpected swankiness and made me smile broadly.

Hey! I cannot believe I have to come here and defend my junk. My sh*t is HUGE at Hong Kong Disneyland. Forced perspective baby, forced perspective.
