I'm no animal rights activist, but....

This is sick and wrong.

The French Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA) told the daily the dog was the victim of cruel fishermen who attract sharks by throwing puppies or kittens into the water, tied to fishing lines, and wait for the predators to swallow the thrashing animals.

You're right. Brigitte Bardot looks terrible.

Well there's a story I won't be reading!

Not meant as a slight to you scaeagles, it's just that animal cruelty really disturbs me.

Then don't read it, SM. It is disturbing. And not just the pic of Bardot, which I agree with GD about - almost more disturbing than the story itself.

I always thought Cats and Dogs were supposed to be our Chums.....not our Chum

One for Chris:

She should just hang her feet in the water and say...."Sharkey, do you like my ankles?"

Betty 08-25-2005 06:20 PM

That was rather disturbing.

I'm with you on this Szerb. If we are watching Animal Planet, I have to make sure to skip over the "Animal Precinct" commercials.

I'll just trust everyone on how disturbing the article is. Although I am curious what Bridget Bardot has to do with it.

Hey, cut Bardot some slack, she's seventy-one years old!

And SJ ...

You funny!

tikiboy 08-27-2005 11:48 PM

Yeah, that's pretty over the top.

I thinks sleepyjeff has been watching the Simpsons where Homer goes the "Loan Shark Lending Co. - Where the buyer is our Chum."
